I tried searching to see if this was already discussed but didn't see anything. Please forgive me if I missed it and am repeating. I was wondering if anyone else has had experience with clothing a long, lanky baby and knows brands or styles that work better. My little one is almost three months old and long enough that he's starting to wear some 9 month clothing. Trouble is that while he's so long, he's still just barely ten pounds. What fits his length he looks like he's swimming in in the width and as he's starting to become more and more active it's becoming a bigger issue finding pants that will stay up. The waist is huge, the legs are short. I'm not worried about this summer when shorts become an option but right now it's getting into our coldest part of the year and the best I've been managing is either smaller pants that fit in the waist but look like capris paired with socks that come up higher to cover the gap, or overalls that fit in the length and can be held up with the strap but still look so wide.
Re: Infant clothing- long and narrow? Help!
Earlier on I found some pants with Target that worked well and have loved Old Navy's waffle-knit leggings but each growth spurt he just gets longer and more awkward to dress. So glad I'm not alone. Thank you so much to everyone that's responded!
