Haircut help

So I need haircut help! T has had probably 5 haircuts in the past year. He's never loved them but always did well with a lollipop. Well today we tried and he screamed bloody murder, kicked, hit, and even tried to bite me. She took a few snips and I had to stop her. I know we are in toddler tantrum zone but any advice on making it through a haircut? I'm going to put him down for a nap and try a walk in place afterwards. Ugh, today has been so difficult!

    We tried again - he still freaked. I'll try again next week and probably just try to trim it at home.

    We've only gone once but my SIL used to have the biggest problem with my nephew. He would lose it - scream, kick, hit, the whole 9 yards.They took him to watch both of them get their hair cut and that seemed to help. That and M&Ms and lollipops.

    The salon by us has TVs and the seats look like airplanes. Daniel Tiger can get DD through anything these days. She's never actually had a haircut, it's still pretty short but clipping her nails used to be a similar horror story.

    Try tv and letting him sit on your lap in the chair. That works great for B, who acts like she's about to get stabbed the minute we walk in th salon.

    This all sounds so promising. We are bringing dd for her first haircut this week. Can't wait to see how it all goes down!

    We have done probably 6-8 haircuts for DS now. I used to sit him on my lap and put Frozen or Sesame Street on my cell phone. This past weekend he climbed up into the chair himself when we bribed him with a sucker. Then I just had to hold cell phone videos up to keep him sitting and from moving around. Keep trying. There aren't any times I will do what ever it takes to bribe him, but hairs cuts are one of those things. It has gotten easier and easier over time.
