Clomid- 2 weeks in a row?

I was on 50 mg Clomid for 5 days, then went on CD 13 for my blood work and vaginal ultrasound. Unfortunately, follicles were too small. So they had me start 100 mg that night.

I am not on day 2 and will go back to fertility doctor next Wednesday in hopes those follicles grow (without bursting).

Have you guys heard of doing 2 rounds of Clomid in 1 cycle? How do you deal with Clomid side effects?

Me (28)- PCOS, no natural cycle since stopping BC pills in 2013
DH (29)- SA= all good
Married since March 2013 (together since 2004) + TTC since April 2013

Provera 12/13, 6/14, 8/14, 10/ 14, 12/14

Clomid 50 mg 12/14- no follicles big enough, stair stepped with Clomid 100 mg (1 follicle 22/25 mm) + Ovidrel trigger shot 1/15- BFN

Clomid 150 mg 1/15- no follicles responding- repeated 150 mg + Ovidrel trigger shot + IUI- BFP

    This cycle (IUI #4) I did two rounds of femara. I didn't respond great after just five days so took a higher dose for five more. At the respect scan, I wasn't quite where they want me for IUI but my RE anticipates I will be early next week.
    As far as SE, I was fortunate to not really have many of Clomid or femara. My best advice is to take it one day at a time & remember it's for a great reason. Best wishes!

    07/2014-Femara 5mg + trigger + IUI= chem preg ;(
    08/2014-Femara 5mg + trigger + IUI + 2nd trigger= BFN
    09/2014-Clomid 100mg + trigger + IUI + 2nd trigger= BFN
    10/2014-benched due to RE out of town, tying naturally!
    11/2014-benched due to cyst
    12/2014-Femara 5mg + stair step with additional 5 days Femara 5mg + trigger + IUI=BFN
    01/2015-Femara 5mg + Gonal F 25 units + trigger (plus additional Gonal F 100 units on trigger night) + IUI= BFP!!! Twins due 10/2015
    09/28/2015- Surprise!  Conrad and Hudson born at 35w6d!
