What's the deal with bras? I feel like I'm buying a new ones every other month (30 weeks along). The thing is I never know what size to get when I have to move up. Also, are the sizes the same with sports bras? I just bought a sports bra that is the same "size" as my current bra size and I can barely breathe in it!
End rant. Lol
Any advise is appreciated. I'm originally a 34C.
Re: Bras
get fitted by a professional fitter.
I go to LaBratique near 50th & France. Nordstrom also does fittings.
Your breasts will grow with pregnancy and your band size may go up if your ribs expand to accommodate baby.
I went from DDD up to J's while nursing. Getting fitted helped me find things that fit and supported correctly while having a little growing room available.
Many women are wearing the wrong bra size...usually a too-big band with a too-small cup. don't fear the letters!

Yes, you need to go get fitted by a pro!!! You may find you've significantly changed sizes since getting pregnant - go with what fits not what you want to fit. Nordstroms is who I've used and they're great about the free shipping if you get fitted and they don't have your specific size which shouldn't be an issue since you're on the smaller side.
As for sports bras - one thing I've found is whomever made the particular one is what makes all the difference in the world. I've had some that feel huge others that feel small all the same "size". OTOH, I much prefer the "give" that sports bras provide.
Yes.
I only buy bras there, so I get fitted every time something changes. I'd lost 100 pounds before getting pregnant, so I went for 3 fittings this year (should have done more, but I was being frugal). Now that I am pregnant I am working my way back up through the cup sizes I had dropped.
Once you know your brands, you can take a stab at ordering the next cup up online, but I find that as I change size, things fit differently and another style might be more comfortable.
The bras are about $50-$60 each in my size (38G these days) so I only buy 1 or 2 at a time.
