We went with the white jenny lind divinci crib. We're really happy with the crib and it took about 15 minutes to put together. We created a new account and a fake baby registry with a due date just a month away. Then we got the 10% registry completion discount and signed up for a 30 day trial of Amazon mom to make our savings 15%. Plus free 2 day shipping and returns. Just make sure you cancel the Amazon mom membership or you'll get charged.
We actually went to a baby furniture store. Spent a bit more than what we would have at BBB or BRUS. But it was around the same price as pottery barn. The set we got converts and we should have for a long time. Also the set is actually made to order so its not sitting around being mass-produced overseas. OP, haw far along are you? Ours is taking 12-14 weeks to make and we should be getting it in about 4 weeks.
Babies R Us, only because the dresser I liked was from there and I wanted the crib to be the same brand so it would match. We got 15% off our furniture purchase because we spent over $200 (check their website, they have this deal quiet often!), and we had our furniture shipped to store, which means free shipping.
Target online. We got the Khalini mini crib by Davinci and I love it. It's a convertible crib but converts into a twin bed, not a full size so its smaller and fits perfectly in the nursery.
I prefer to buy cribs made in North America. My first two are Young America (made in the USA) and convert to toddler then full size beds. I buy the whole bedroom set and hope it will last for years to come. Young America went out of business this past April so 3rd crib set is Natart (Made in Canada).
I was just browsing cribs on Amazon...I don't know what I'm looking for but just can't find one I like this time around.. WATCH THE PRICES!!! My DD crib is on there for almost $500 more than what I spent at BRU. Many of the other cribs are priced higher on Amazon than on other websites as well.
Buy buy baby... we were able to use a 20% off coupon... I agree with what a PP asked, order it as soon as you can our's took about 12-14 weeks to get after we ordered from the store.

Pottery Barn Kids. I wanted something simple but high quality, so I went with the Emerson.
In regards to the high delivery fees, just wait until they have a sale that has free delivery (that's what I did!) It saves you $100, they put the crib together for you, take away the packaging and...their cribs are in stock and have a pretty quick delivery time.
One bonus, they cover the rails with a plastic piece that protects the crib from the kid chomping on the crib/paint.
We got a crib from Walmart & it's great! Depends on what your looking for & what your needs are... for us, we didn't want to spend $300 on a crib that claims to be convertible only to find out there's a conversion kit you then have to purchase for another $100 bucks... we got this one:
Wayfair.com it was free shipping and no tax. They have a great variety of price points and styles too. We went with a fisher price and it's very sturdy good quality.
Amazon they have lots of reliable reviews, fast delivery, and free shipping depending on the price of the item. Its a good crib and it came with the conversion rails to convert it into a toddler bed, day bed, or full sized bed.
