Car Seat / Stroller Compatibility Question

Hello beautiful gals!

I may be posting this in the wrong place, but thought I'd start here!

My amazing sister gave us her old 2010 Bob Revolution SE stroller along with the travel case and car seat adapter (model CS0701) found here:https://www.amazon.com/BOB-Infant-Adapter-Single-Strollers/dp/B000OS3AP0.

DH and I went to Babies r Us to try out car seats to ensure they fit before we buy one or add it to our registry, and not one on the market fit securely. The staff told us our adapter and stroller were old and out of date, and suggested we buy a new stroller, which made me laugh. Both are perfectly fine, and the adapter is still sold on amazon with lots of great reviews.

Upon reviewing the compatibility chart and user comments on amazon, there are many car seats we tried that should've fit just fine. After much research, I found that my sister didn't have the restraint belt included, which I think is what we need to secure the car seats into place. Can anyone confirm this?

The adapter should work with Graco Snugride 30 & 32, Britax B Safe, and Chicco Key fit 30, among others, but these were sliding all over in the store without the belt. Thanks in advance!

You absolutely MUST use the red strap with this adaptor. The metal frame is just a 'platform' for the carseat to sit on.

BOB/Britax has very good customer service. Give them a call and I'm sure they can send/sell you a replacement strap.

Also, BRU (and other retailers) have woefully uninformed or misinformed staff. They often give out potentially deadly information about carseats....

Thank you SO much for your help with this, kmc84! Not one BRU employee mentioned the strap, and it want until I looked at detailed pictures online that I caught what we were missing!

I find it hilarious that BRU employees told you that your perfectly good stroller was out of date and should be replaced. That makes no sense!

Yeah, no kidding! You should've seen the look on my husband's face when she walked away. He was so concerned and confused. I quickly said, "Don't worry... A new stroller is not an option because that's just ridiculous. We'll figure this out."

Even a manager told us the same thing when I asked if we had the car seat in properly. So silly.

Someone on the bump in a different group just told me to get a different stroller, too. So odd...

I have that same stroller but the CE model. I still love that thing. I bought it used 2 yrs ago and have never used the infant seat adapter. But my 3yr old still likes to ride in it.

The only thing is sometimes the tires do need air. We had a bicycle pump in our car so we could pump them up whenever needed, because they were always flat at the worst times.

Just a heads up that the graco classic connect car seats will work but the new click connect won't.
