8 weeks pregnant today. My ob called with my blood work results and said all is well but she would like to see my progesterone higher. Currently is 12. Going in tomorrow for a sonogram and more blood work to re-test. Anyone else experiencing or has experienced this? Were you able to carry your baby full term?

Mine wasn't as low as yours was but I was put on progesterone supplements. There has been a few threads on here about others that are on them as well. The search bar on the right side will help.

Mine was 11.9 when they first checked it... I was probably at around 4.5 weeks at the time (but by dates was 6 or 7). They put me on supplements and haven't checked it since. My last pregnancy I was 16 and I didn't take any supps.

Mine was 10.5 and I was put on progesterone suppositories. Within 2 days it went up to 21. Good luck

Mine was 13.9 at 4ish weeks. My RE put me on progesterone supplements until 10 weeks and all is fine.

Mine was 3.97 the day I tested positive and I started supplements right away. Within 4 days it was over 15, and the next reading was well over 30. 10 weeks yesterday and saw healthy babe for the second time this pregnancy. All of my pregnancies I have had low progesterone and always been supplements.

My progesterone was 5 at 5 weeks. I started progesterone oral supplements right away. They never measured it again but I've had 2 ultrasounds where I saw a healthy baby with a strong heart beat and am now almost 12 weeks!

I always have low progesterone (this is my 4th pregnancy) and it's never gotten above 5.75. I am on progesterone gel vaginal suppositories and then because I have a history of pre-term labor I will go on progesterone IM injections at 16 weeks until term (I believe the shots are weekly). The progesterone supplements are really no big deal. I insert them at night before going to sleep. They do make me a little more nauseated than normal but I'm already super nauseated all the time and throw up 3-4 times a day so take that in to consideration as well. I have heard that they make your boobs hurt more but I haven't found this to be the case.

This is my 4th pregnancy with progesterone supplements and hopefully will be my 3rd take home baby. The one I lost was not a loss related to progesterone but was related to a chromosomal abnormality in the fetus.

Heres a link with some natural food sources for progesterone. On top of eating healthy meals and snacks with progesterone you can also take a supplement and/or use progesterone cream. Be careful though, you might want to find out what amounts are appropriate. I don't know what the research says about too much progesterone.

I don't know how far along you are, but once your placenta is more present a lot of women will start producing their own progesterone, the doc said I can get off all supplements soon because of my placenta. Also, testing and keeping track of progesterone levels is a newer thing, a lot of women may have had low prog. In the past and didn't even know it and delivered healthy babies.

Mine was 11 this time around and not sure what it was the first time but it was low then too. I was put on oral progesterone supplements until I hit week 13. Baby #1 went to 42 weeks and is a healthy almost 2 year old.

Thank you for the comments! Had my sono today. Babys heart beat was good but is measuring a week behind - no mistakes on missed period or conception date. They took more blood for labs. Will know the results tomorrow. Starting a progesterone pill supplement this evening and will see the doc in 2 weeks for another sono to make sure baby is progressing. Just in case another momma is going through this i will update when i get more info. My one complaint about this board is when i search i find people in similar situations but they never update as to what happened!

I think in the first trimester they want it to be between 15 and 30. My was lower than 15 so they put me on progesterone suppositories twice a day and it's been in the high 20's. I have to take it thru week 11 then the placenta takes over with the progesterone.

I have a similar situation. Progesterone was 8 at about 5 weeks. Started oral meds, went up to 14 the next week at that time I had an US and baby was measuring almost 2 weeks behind what I thought my EDD was. the next week it was 25 and baby grew accordingly, and the next it went to 9 did an us and baby grew again. My dr was totally confused. He had never seen it
Bottom like that, so no more blood work and I go back every other week til 12 weeks to ensure growth and heartbeat. Baby is growing accordingly each week, I was nervous because the days in which I thought I got pregnant and my period and the EDD was not lining up. However my dr said that you can get pregnant up to a few days after sex. I went on Tuesday and baby was measuring 4 days ahead of schedule, but he said as long as he/she is growing and the HB is strong he is very optimistic. Hang in there girl, it's an emotional roller coaster

Stopped at Target on my way home from work with my 2 year old to grab a few essentials. Felt a wetness in my underwear but thought MAYBE it was urine from when I threw up a few mins prior. I have bad nausea and unfortunately I occasionally pee myself a little when vomiting. When we got home I went to the bathroom to change and noticed my underwear was soaked in red blood and there was a clot about the size of a quarter as well. This was 2 hours ago. There was no warning. Havent even cramped. I just went to the bathroom again and there is no new blood on my pad. Is this typical?

I would definitely call your OB... Could be something benign, but it also might be serious.

Had my scheduled appt. to see how the baby was growing. Fully prepared after last night's bleeding to not see a baby or at least no heartbeat. Sono was good. Baby was there and doing great. Should be 10 weeks 1 day but measuring 9 weeks 5 days which is better than before. Still had a strong heartbeat. Havent bled since last night. Wore a pad to sleep and it was clean when i woke up. Doctor says i passed a blood clot and have a 50/50 chance of miscarriage. Going back next week Wednesday for another sono to make sure everything is ok.

I have low progesterone, and was put on suppositories 3 times I day. I too had a scary moment of bleeding. The dr said it was a subchorionic hematoma. It has since resolved itself and I am now 12 weeks. It was a very scary couple of weeks and I still hold my breath everytime I use the bathroom. It only happened once though. Good luck to you.

Went to the doctor for a follow up sono last Wednesday. That day i was 11 weeks 1 day and baby measured 11 weeks. After I finish my bottle of progesterone pills i do not have to take anymore. Everything looks great and i dont have to see the doc for 4 weeks.
