For those that may know.. is it typically a growth spurt when a baby gets up more/drinks more? Is 6 weeks a common time for one?
Zoe usually gives us roughly 7 hours of sleep overnight (give or take- 10 to 5am maybe) and last night she was up around midnight, 2 and then 4. Clearly, she's still a newborn and her sleep will be all over for awhile- so I'm not really talking about that. I expect that. But each time she got up, she wanted increased formula. She's been doing, on average, 3 ounces per bottle. And I did some extra feedings overnight and she cried a bit after each.. sticking her fist in her mouth, so I assumed she was still hungry. Made up an extra ounce (so 4 total) and she gobbled it like she hadn't just eaten! And she did 4 ounces the next feeding, too (which she's usually asleep during!).
Is that a growth spurt? (I figure you'll all tell me better than goggle)
