Logan seems to have outgrown his barley allergy! Most fpies kids do not start outgrowing until 3-4 years old. He has 14 allergens, and barley's reaction isnt sort of mild, it as been the hardest to avoid.
Woohoo! Hurray for being able to introduce new foods! What kinds of things can you add back in now? Did you have him tested to find out that it was okay, or did you do a food challenge?

@uncaripswife , there is not a ton of research on fpies, because it is so rare. It is believed that most kids outgrow it, like 90%. But, kids with a lot of allergies, and atypical reactions, like my ds are seen as being less likely to outgrow, and some keep some of their allergens. @lc&jw, there is no testing, just food trialing. If he keeps doing good, we are going to try some veggies. Zucchini would be nice, since it is easy to hide and the kid won't touch vegetables if he can help it. Rice and sweet potato are probably going to be in office or hospital trials, since his reaction was so bad.
On a side note, dd had an allergic reaction to strawberries years ago, we are confident she will outgrow, and need to get her tested. Well, dummy me has been feeding her capt crunch which has strawberry juice, and guess who is doing well?
My son was diagnosed with fpies as well to sweet potatoes. That was our only food. Strange but they said it is common for only one food. Yay for out growing one of the foods. They said we need to do an in the hospital trial for sweet potatoes as well about 15 months after his last reaction.
