Can a cold lower supply?

I've had a cold for a few days now and DD has started nursing from both sides to fill up. She usually nursing one side a meal. I'm not taking any meds and I'm drinking extra water but it appears my supply is tanking. Is that possible from a cold? Or might it just be a 6m growth spurt?

Totally possible from the cold. I had a cold a month or so ago and I found even though I tried to drink as much water as possible I had a dip in supply. It came back so try not to stress too much :)

I don't have any experience being sick while breastfeeding other than dealing with the mastitis but it seems like if you're rundown and not getting enough fluids/rest that your body will suffer and impact your supply... good luck hope you feel better soon!

Thanks ladies! That makes me feel a bit better. I'm running a fever tonight but hopefully I'll be on the mend in a day or two!
