did you/will you circumcise your boys?

Firstly if there is already a post about this I'm sorry. The search bar is M.I.A on my phone :-S
I've been googling the holy hell out of this recently and can't come to any conclusion. So those having or had boys what did you choose? Would you make the same choice again?

Re: did you/will you circumcise your boys?

  • Yes, all my boys are and this baby will be too! I left it up to DH to decide.

You will get different answers with each person. Only you and your DH can decide what best for your baby.

Oops early post comment. This is the link for the discussion from about 2 weeks ago.
  • Nothing wrong with posting a new thread :x We chose not to circumcise our son. No medical need for it, they look the same when erect (for adult love life concerns) and is no more difficult to clean than a little girls vagina. Everybody has their own preference, do what's best for your family.
  • We will not circumcise if we're having a little boy :)
  • Yes, we definitely are.

  • I did for all my boys. My mother didn't not. I feel it's the best choice health wise. Much easier to keep clean and to avoid infections. My brothers got them a lot, however my sons did not. But it's best for you and DH to talk it over.
  • We will definitely do it as we are having a boy. In my opinion, much easier to keep clean and avoid possible infections. DH and I decided this together.

Are you kidding? This statement regardless of where you stand on the actual issue is completely ridiculous.
Do what is best for your family but please do not pass on ignorant fear mongering comments like this.

Does any of your family members get on your ass about this ? Such as look down on you because you think this way .
  • We didn't and we won't. It is up to you, and I didn't tell family. It really wasn't their business.

  • My mom recently asked or more so told that we should. Little did she know my husband is not (because who discusses that with their mama lol). But we won't be (if it's a boy) It's something that can't be undone in my eyes and if later in life my boy decided he wanted to we would support him. I see no medical reason to have it done and it seems to be less and less common these days. My husband said he never had any infections or problems and from my research it doesn't seem any harder to keep clean. With that said. I def think it's a personal thing and if you do decide to do it I don't think your child will grow up and honestly care.
  • I didn't with my son and won't with this one. It has been a long argument with DH about it but I made him see my point on the matter. It's a personal decision no matter the choice. But I do recommend doing a ton of research. From my own experience it's not harder to keep clean if left unaltered and as long as you teach your son how to clean it and when to know that he needs to have it seen he will be ok.

With my ex ( father to my first 2) he never had infections. Worse thing that ever happened was we got a little to rough ;) and it tore slightly. But that was it.

    Again personal choice.
