8 week growth spurt?

LO is 8 weeks today. He has been so sleepy today. I'm not sure if it's part of the growth spurt or not but he's literally slept most of the day.. And not eating as much as normal. Still having wet diapers though. Anyone else notice this behavior during a growth spurt? His last one he was awake more and eating more.. Just a little worried about him. We leave in the morning for Oklahoma so in hoping this is all "normal"

We just passed this or are at the tail end of it and I also noticed a decrease in feeds as well as extra naps. He cat naps(ed) often. Let him sleep and enjoy the quiet.. Growing is tough work.

This has been the 6 week growth spurt for us, 1 night last week eating every 2 hours followed by days of sleeping a ton and eating not less often but for shorter periods. Unless he just hasn't started it yet, but he was born a week late and is 6w5d so I'm pretty sure we just got lucky.

This may be a silly question but aren't babies growing all the time? Aren't we all in one long never ending growth spurt?

I mostly agree. I think people are getting a little hyped up trying to see what's a growth spurt and what's a wonder week or whatever that you kind of lose sight of the plain fact that these are tiny growing little human larvae lol. There are good days and bad days, it just comes with the territory.

I know my tiny dictator is an unpredictable guy so I'm trying to embrace the good days and get through the bad without too much focus on fitting behavior into a rigid calendar. If I am getting worked up because I'm afraid of a storm cloid on a chart I'm 1. Going to lose focus on the good moments we do have and 2. Be so extra anxious that I make it harder on myself.

I agree completely - also love the fact that you call your LO Tiny Dictator. So funny and true!

I agree. They're newborns, they're constantly growing and changing at a rapid pace.
