Here's where my anxiety lies: Everyone keeps throwing around the twins buzz because I have a set of fraternal twins (they are almost 14 years old), twins run in my family big time, I am 39 and I had gastric bypass so I have lost nearly 140 pounds making me (they say) more fertile.
While I will be happy no matter what, it adds so much pressure having a twin pregnancy and let's face it I'm no spring chicken. The buzz among my close family is starting to weigh on my mind. I feel like I should ask them to stop but I know it's not Ill-willed.
I can't wait to have my US January 12th so we can solve the mystery. I wish it was sooner!
I had all the factors going for me except for not being african american. I am a ferternal twin, overweight, yada yada. But we only have one. Excited to hear what your u/s says.
Proud Mom to Kaleigh (14yr) Emma (12yr) and Hanna (7yr)
My husband has twins throughout his entire family. Both with my daughter and the baby we lost.. The docs thought it may be twins and so did everyone in my family. It never was. Always a singleton.
Good luck! I don't think any of that guarentee a twin pregnancy. I think unfortunately you have to suffer the wait until the U/s which I know feels like forever!! I hate the waiting part!!
After having one baby, I thanked my lucky stars I only had one this time around also. One was enough of a handful. There were times I was sure I'd loose my sanity. Good luck to the twin moms, but got to say I'm SO glad it's not me.
