Re: *~September Sapphires Check-In~* (Dec 29th)

  • Thanks for the check-in @eliida! How is everything going with you? Any fun NYE plans?

AFM, I have my HSG scheduled for tomorrow at 11:15. I am very nervous, and it took more pressure on my doctor to get it scheduled than I had hoped. I am a little nervous about the timing as I'm on CD11 tomorrow, and I normally O CD13 or 14. I am hoping that everything is clear...Luckily I am off work this week so I don't have to take additional time off!
Christmas at my house went really well, but I don't think I will ever do hosting the entire family again any time soon. Too many people. I started seeing a new acupuncturist this weekend who is amazing. I am going to see her 2x a week this cycle just to relax a little bit. DH and I decided that we would be doing a low key NYE this year since our Thanksgiving and Christmas was so crazy.

QOTW: I generally only decorate for Christmas, with the exception of a wreath on our door for every season. :)

((HUGS)) to all of you ladies!

  • @ashlee113085 I'll be thinking of you this morning. FX that everything is clear and the procedure goes quickly with minimum discomfort.

I hear you about a low-key NYE. I'm glad Thanksgiving and Christmas went well - you worked your tail off preparing for so many people. Me thinks a well-deserved rest is in order. :)
  • AFM, once again, I don't have too much to report. I've been battling a nasty cold. For a few days there I couldn't stand to be touched, so I'm pretty sure that we're out this cycle. Plus, my temps were all over the place and I'm not quite sure when I o'ed. If FF is right (which I don't think it is) I o'ed early and on the same day as my HSG. So there's that.

I'm not a big fan of NYE and MH is working late. (He's in hospitality.) I'm considering staying in and relaxing with a little alone time. Although I like this idea, I'm sure other people will give me a hard time. (Not that they want me to go out, but because this seems like sad person behavior.) Meh.

QOTW: I decorate a little for Christmas and MH goes overboard on Halloween. I'd consider decorating more, but we don't have the space to store stuff off-season.
  • Thank you for the check in @eliida‌. How are you?

Mom is still in the hospital, but doing better. Hopefully she will be able to get out soon. Things are going ok with me. In my 2ww of my second natural cycle. I Od on my own again! Pretty exciting stuff, even if we got Shitty timing. The flu takes the fun out of HIO. We decided to take more time off of treatments to save money for IUI. I'm sad, but at least we're won't be breaking the bank.

QOTW We decorate for Christmas and that is it. We barely have time to do that.

@ashlee113085‌ thinking about you today! ((Hugs))

  • @megrae12 I'm so relieved to hear that your mom is improving. Hopefully she'll get to come home soon.

Congratulations on O'ing on your own! Yay! The flu sucks. (Seriously, is anyone not sick this month?) I'm sorry to hear that you're sad about continuing on the medication break, but this sounds like you have a new plan. Do you have any idea when you want to proceed with IUI?
  • @eliida‌ Honestly it just depends on how fast we can save money. With meds and the IUI we are looking at about a $1,000. We will have to travel for the IUI. It's just a lot so, i dunno.

  • @megrae12 Grrrrrrr, that's frustrating. GL.
  • @megrae12 Yay for O'ing on your own! and boo to the flu! I am glad to hear that your mom is doing better!

@eliida I'm so sorry that you had such a bad cold! I hope that you are feeling better! And that stinks about your early O. I think I will be in the same boat this cycle....my RE says I will O either today or tomorrow. We were told not to bd before the HSG so my timing will probably stink.

However, the HSG showed no blockages, no scar tissue, and everything looked great!!! He said he thinks my in tense O pain is coming from the glands on my uterus and just is adjusting from the hormones. He says he thinks it's probably my "new normal" after my loss. The plan now is that we are going to try for a few more months and then come up with a formal plan. For now we are just keeping up with what we've been doing, so we will see!

  • Thanks for the check in @eliida‌ . I'm sorry you have been sick :(

Other than the three weeks I was on Fibristal, I took nothing, except some prenatals and some advil for some cramping. But, if I look back at my charts, my cycle did seem to regulate after the meds, although I never took much notice of it as I figured I had finally regulated afer my miscarriage.

As for a plan, the OB's note (that I got from my family doctor) re-iterated that my uterus was healthy and clear, and we should ttc quickly. So, that's what we are trying :) luckily, MH is home for at least two cycles (he travels for work) so hopefully we might be blessed with a BFP. Our problem hasn't been getting pregnant, moreso staying that way.

its a little stress inducing with a time crunch, but so far MH is handling it well, I'm due to ovulate within a day or two, so praying we can keep it up and have good timing. My plan is that if nothing happens for two or three cycles, to ask for some diagnostics to check on the fibroid. After two miscarriages thanks to this sucker, I am going to push for close monitoring.

    DD 15.07.2012

    BFP #3 07.18.2014, MC 07.31.2014 5w6d

DX: RPL due to submucosal uterine fibroid. Hysteroscopy 12/16. All clear!

  • @ashlee113085 While it sucks that your "new normal" includes pain, it's wonderful to hear that your HSG went so well. YAY!

@LauraO11 I'm crossing my fingers so hard for you. Super happy that your ute is healthy and clear!
