1. I found out yesterday that my aunt is getting her foot amputated next month. A day before my birthday.
2. I feel so sorry for her. I lived with her and my uncle for a few years when I was a teenager and I love them as if they were my own parents.
3. She's had a problem with her foot (I can't remember the name of the disease) since she was a child and was told at the age of 4 that she would never walk again. But she did.
4. Recently it's gotten really bad and she had I choose between amputation and a minimum of five surgeries not guaranteed to work.
5. She chose the amputation because she wants to be able to walk in a few months and run around with her boys.
6. She is the strongest and most big hearted woman I know and I just feel so bad that she's going through this. Thoughts and prayers are welcome.
7. That took up 6 of my 10 things but I can't seem to get it off my mind. Sorry to be a debby downer.
1. Our entire house has been sick since Christmas.... we are supposed to be hosting a NYE party tomorrow and I hope that we are better in time.
2. I'm making an amazing spinach dip whether we cancel the party or not.
3. DD got soooo many toys from my inlaws for Christmas. All she cares about are the boxes though.
4. One week until our anatomy scan! Yay! I can't wait to know if we'll have another girl, or a boy!
5. I got a Margaritaville mixer for Christmas.... anyone have any good virgin drink recipes?!
6. DD is watching Baby Einstein and I'm supposed to be cleaning the house.
7. DH is working from home to avoid spreading his germs through the office, so it's been nice being able to go run errands without bringing a toddler... especially since it's so cold out right now!
8. I had a cup of coffee over Christmas and SIL looked at me like I was doing some hardcore drugs and must be the worst pregnant mom ever. If only she knew how often I eat at Subway!
9. Everyone keeps telling me that I'll take way less photos of baby #2. I agree that might be the case for some people, but I'm a newborn photographer and I plan to take full advantage of those sleepy photo opportunities!
10. DH and I are planning a 4 day trip to San Francisco next month, sans DD. I'm nervous and excited.
@wowcheezits thanks! She's not diabetic it's some other disease she's had since childhood. I can never remember the name but I've always thought the word sounded like Gymboree. Also I like getting updates on your DD as well. I'm glad to hear everything I getting better! And I realllyyyy hope we are still in contact in the teenage years!
@mommabakes thank you! And DH and I have been binge watching it on netflix since we discovered it. It's so good! I usually end up watching them while DH is working because I have no self control. Then I'm forced to watch them all again when he's home. Lol
@Legitsince86 good luck with LO on your trip! I only flew a few hours with DD but she loved it. But that was while I was nursing. And before she could walk around so I don't have too much advice. BUT sending good flying vibes your way. HAVE FUN!!
