I was getting ready for work last night and got to thinking about how much I am loving my teeny tiny bump. I also love how fast my hair and nails are growing.
Something I knew about but somehow it never occured to me as might happen as early as it did was back pain (expected at the end, sure, but definitely not at 8 weeks!). I was so sure that morning sickness was going to be around that I stocked up on saltines and ginger ale even before my BFP, but nope. Didn't happen. I was also waiting for my hair to straighten out (happened to both my mom and grandmother during pregnancy), but nope - it's just gotten curlier.
So, ladies, let's hear it. What are you absolutely loving about being pregnant? Any surprises (good or bad)?
Re: What are you loving the most about being pregnant? Any "unexpecteds"?
There are a lot of things I like about being pregnant but my favorite is the bump. I can wear fitted shirt without sucking in my mom pudge!
This pregnancy has been much more ddifficult for me than my last with DD. I have been a lot sicker, feeling very faint, and have had terrible headaches. I was sick with DD but I was able to manage. This little boy has been knocking me on my rear on a regualr basis. That was a surprise!

I don't like the unexpected cramps, the exhaustion, and anxiety I have about miscarrying. I'm a waitress working lots of hours on my feet and carrying things so I'm nervous that it's gonna harm us. Also nervous about nursing school. I start in a few weeks for a semester then off for summer when baby will arrive then back for one more semester in the fall. Going to be a lot to handle
So far nothing is magical about this pregnancy and I just feel gassy and tired and nauseous. Second tri has been better but those round ligament pains are no bueno.
But I do love that my husband is so excited and I love when he places his hand on my tummy and talks to baby.
All of my friends are all "being pregnant was the best experience of my life" and I'm over here like "is it June yet?".
Don't get me wrong I am VERY happy to be blessed with this baby and can't wait to meet him/her...but so far I've been nauseous, tired ALL the time and getting treated like a child by everyone around me because they want to do everything for me (which I can't stand)....so, so far, besides my little bump...im not nearly as into it as everyone around me seems to be lol
We were at his parents house the other day celebrating second-Christmas, when I got THE LOOK. He immediately stood up to make sure the only bathroom was vacated and passed me a glass of water. Oops.

Seeing how excited DH is about it has been pretty fantastic though. And I'm also SUPER in love with the end result, having a cool little person in our house.
All in all - it's tougher than I expected this early on.... which scares me a bit!lol
The unexpected and i apologize for this ladies but I'm surprised how easy it has been so far. I barely have any symptoms worth complaining about. *knock on wood

I'm surprised at the exhaustion-I wasn't prepared to be so tired! Luckily, my husband is giving awesome back rubs and helping me a ton!
I love talking to MH about our future and discussing baby names... I'm kind of sad we've decided on them already haha.

Ever since...maybe around week 5...my sex drive has been GONE! I used to be the one out of us that had the crazy sex drive and now....nada.
I am praying it will kick in again soon because I feel so bad for my man lol
@SJ1604 I don't have a huge sex drive and with all the nausea, still really don't. But when I do start kissing my hubs, the hormones have just brightened everything! It all feels so good.
