Cd1 question

You would think I would know this by now but here goes... Before DS I would spot and then an hour or so later be into full flow with AF. Usually 2 days heavy, 3 days light. In the last 6-9 months though I usually spot and then anywhere from 12-48h later I get more flow. Sometimes there is absolutely nothing in between the spotting and when things get going. This cycle though I spotted for 48h before things picked up. What would you guys say counts as cd1 in those circumstances? I was cycling an alternating 24-26d cycle with a 29-31d cycle but in last 3m they have all been 24-25d and if I count the spotting as cd1 this round I started on cd22 if that matters at all. Thanks!!

    I thought it was the first day of full flow?

    IUI#3 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP!

    Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!

    My RE's policy was CD1 = First day of bright red (not light brown or brownish-red) flow that begins before 5pm. I always spotted for a few days before CD1 and my nurse said I was to totally disregard it.
    TTC in 2009, Dx: Unexplained IF
    Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!
    12dp5dt: 765; 15dp5dt: 1979; 17dp5dt: 3379...TWINS!!!!!
    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    Thanks guys. That's what I had thought too but then my last ivf they told me to call any time day or night as soon as I had any flow. I will return to calling this spotting business my "fake period"

    I think mine is the minority and accepts spotting as cd1 but I will say my BFP cycle I might have not counted it as cd1 because it didn't work out with my vacation plans. It all worked out though lol
