  Right after the wedding we didn't take a honeymoon.  We just went a few hours away and stayed at DH's uncle's condo just to de-stress.  We took our honeymoon on our 1 year anniversary.  We went to Jamaica.  It was awesome!! I'd post a pic, but I just got a new computer and haven't transferred my pics yet!

  We went on our honeymoon for our 1st anniversary. We went to Costa Rica at the Arenal volcano. I was amazed at how beautiful it was but we didn't get many pics because of the ATV accident.. Which happened our first day and our first excursion. The only other thing we did was go to the local town to the clinic and back to the resort where we ate and drank.
  
  The view from our room overlooked this gorgeous volcano.
  
  
  
  This is the pool bar we spent much time at after the accident.
  
  
  This was us on the ATV's.. So happy.
  
  
  This was part of the "extreme" tour which I guess wasnt extreme enough for MH that flipped it shortly after.
  
  
  And this is some of the aftermath of the accident. It included a separated shoulder for me (that still hurts a year later) and MH had a horrible groin injury so we didn't even have Costa Rica sex

  @LittleDucky I love Oia! DH and I went last year - it was our final big vacation before starting a family. 

  
  

  My aunt gave us her timeshare so we picked Playa de Carmen, Mexico. The resort was amazing! They did give us double beds and we complained because who sleeps in separate beds on your honeymoon!  Unfortunately they couldn't move us but they pushed the beds together and left us a bottle of champagne!

  We went to Sedona. It was really beautiful but I got bored after a few days and the elevation didn't agree with me. I regretted not going to Italy as planned, but we decided to do something domestic and less expensive instead because we were buying a new house.

  We spent a week at an adult only all inclusive resort on Riviera Maya, between Playa Del Carmen and Tulum. The only problem was that we overslept and missed our flight there! After crying to some poor guy who worked for the airline, they let us rebook at minimal cost and we only missed out on one day (that still sucked though!) Regardless, once we arrived we had a great time - most relaxing trip, we've ever taken! Would love to go back sometime soon. And no, I didn't take these pics!

  Great thread! We went to Aruba. I think we're the only couple I know who didn't love it. I think everyone hyped it up for us and it rained everyday, which made for a lot of sexy time with the hubs so I can't complain too much . If we had to do it again, we'd definitely do Europe.

  I went to Niagara Falls in February of 2010.  We left Maryland as it was recovering from a blizzard and it was actually warmer in Canada!

  Yep, Embassy Suites!  Loved the Keg restaurant!  Love the fact that they fed us a hot breakfast included and the managers reception with snacks and an alcoholic beverage too.  It's was pretty amazing.  The town was pretty empty being off season and everywhere we went when we told people we were from near DC, the blizzard down south was mentioned.

  We went to Ireland for our honeymoon. I wanted to go somewhere more tropical but H was adamant about not spending our honeymoon drunk by a pool with other Americans....buzz kill.

  @dandb925 - we planned everything on our own.  Rick Steves' books are great resources.
  
  We spent five days in Rome and easily could have spent longer. We walked everywhere and one of our favorite things was coming up on the Pantheon at night as we were walking back from dinner to the room we were staying in.
  
  
  
  We then took a train up to Milan and over to Lake Como where we spent 4 days. We spent our last night in Milan and flew out from there.
