I had my ultrasound last Wednesday. I just receive a called from the Doc saying that i have a short cervix. Im scared to death cuz this is my first child.
Lurker chiming in. I had one with my first pregnancy. I was told to stay off my feet and they checked it every 2 weeks. Went on modified bedrest at 32 weeks and delivered a healthy baby girl at 37 weeks. He opted not to do cerclage or progesterone supplements because it was short, but holding steady. I also got steroid shots to help with lung development just in case. Try not to worry. Good luck!
Try not to freak out. I know easier said than done. Was the ultrasound the anatomy scan or for cervical length? I've had ultrasounds for cervical length each pregnancy and will probably this time as well.
Try to wait and see what your doctor says after this ultrasound. You may just have extra restrictions but it doesn't necessarily mean a preterm baby.
Ladies...My cervix was at 3.7 last week on my 20 weeks of being pregnant. And i got a doctor's appointment for next tuesday. Im going to have a list of questions for him. But I totally feel normal, just sometimes with a little cramp here nd there or can be my fibroid?

3.7 cm isn't a short cervix. Anything over 3 cm is normal. Mine was 1.8 cm at 13 weeks and I had to have a cerclage placed along with pelvic rest (aka no sex) the remainder of the pregnancy.
If you're 3.7 then you're good to go.. I was 2.7 today and my doctor was not worried about it hardly at all. Some people are naturally shorter. She said its more about the change and if it gets shorter than where it is now. I also go back for a check in a few weeks. Try to relax.
Sorry ladies my cervix is at 3.2 not 3.7. The doctor keeping eyes on me. Im gettin another ultrasound on jan 14. Praying that my cervix stays @ 3.2... 16 Weeks to go
