Chaos control- jewelry?

What happened to these? I need help with jewelry storage. The jewelry box my mom got me as a teen isn't quite cutting it anymore. Especially for things like the chunky costume type stuff, or bangle bracelets. If I try to put that stuff in, I cant close the top anymore. Help! My dresser is enough of a mess without jewelry scattered all over it!

I also feel stupid for having all this stuff I rarely wear since I have2 small children who try to tear it all off.

Oh that's such a good idea! I have necklaces strewn all over our dresser. Some earrings are in a box, and some hang out in the bathroom. I will definitely participate in this challenge!

I kinda took a CC break for Christmas, but we can do one!

I keep most of my costume jewelry in the closet. Necklaces hang from a set of hooks on the back of the closet door. Bracelets and pins go in a flat divided tray that sits on shelf. My few delicate or sentimental pieces and earrings go in the jewelry box on my dresser.

If you don't want to do permanent hooks, TJ Maxx has some neat hangers for holding jewelry.

I have one similar to @Mapleme‌'s. But mine has earring hooks across the top too. And an area for rings. The front is a picture collage. I love it.

I have this shower caddy which stores all of my daily beauty supplies and jewelry in our bathroom. (it is hung with a nail) it works great for me!

I bought a frame and I am going to make an earring holder. You put some cut out metal sheet in the frame so the earrings can hang in the cut out spaces.

I had no idea there was such speculation of my jewelry box in here. I do have pics in it, but it is hung in my room where no one will ever see it.

I had put my jewelry in the tiny crafting plastic baggies - one item per baggy - and then all sealed small baggies into one sealed larger baggy when I moved back sometime before 2010......and they're still there. I put my earrings on an earring holder and then into a sealed storage bag.....hadn't lost any when I last looked. I just don't wear jewelry very much.
