TMI, but I've pooped like 5 times today. Did this happen to anyone before labor, and if so, how soon before. I've read your body cleanses itself before labor. I'm so ready to meet DD, and I'm hoping this is a sign it may be soon.
I've been constipated this whole pregnancy until 2 weeks ago. Now I have diarrhea and go a few times a day. Here I am, still pregnant. Maybe it means things are happening, but I would count on it meaning imminent labor. Good luck
With my first, I had diarrhea for the last month, and am currently dealing with it again with four weeks (well three because I am having a c section at 39) to go. I would say it means your body is getting ready, but it could still be a little while.
I did have this before labor- starting 3 days before my water broke. But I didn't really realize it until after the fact. But yes, many women do have this before labor... your body can clean itself out. But it could be several other things, too (just being pregnant, something funny you ate that didn't agree with you, etc). So it's kinda hard to know.

Could it be that maybe you are having more bowel movements because you have been eating more than normal due to the holidays? It happened to me... I couldn't get enough ham on Christmas and the next day and spent more time in the bathroom for a few days because of it.
I've had this on n off the past couple weeks n I asked my dr last week if u should b concerned n he says no just drink extra water to stay hydrated... So I'd say no but to pack ur bags if u haven't already just in case :-) GL
I've been going too, not that many times though. I've heard as the baby drops he/she puts pressure on your intestine and you go pooping. Hopefully thats what it is! Best of luck!
It's fun to think anything is a sign at the end. I just had my 3rd so I'll go ahead and say the only signs labor is imminent are your water breaking or steady painful contractions. However, you will have a baby soon!!!
I wish. I didn't poop for a day and a half before birth. Having contractions on the toilet during birth as the urge to push came on wasn't exactly part of my birth plan. On the upside, everything they say about pooping and pushing being the same movements/motion/feeling is absolutely true. As is the complete lack of modesty or shame. SO has now seen me poop but he got a son, so...fair trade, if you ask me.
