Okay so I'm 23 and currently expecting my first child. However, this is my fourth pregnancy, the first three were natural miscarriags. I'm high risk with this pregnancy due to short cervix. Each time I go to the Drs. For an issue, the nurse and Dr. On shift will ask how many times I've been pregnant. When I tell them four times and that I miscarried three times, I always get a certain look from them. As if they think I had planned abortions, and that drives me nuts. I feel its because of my age because not a lot of early twenty year olds miscarry three times in a row. But idk, am I over thinking this? Has any of you experience the same reaction?

First, if you have been to the same doc numerous times and they still ask you "how many times have you been pg" and then give you a funny look when tell them the answer, IMO, find a new doctor.. Second, you being only 23 and have 3 miscarriages shouldn't make anyone look at you in a weird way, I had 4 miscarriages by the time I was 22 so age shouldn't even be a factor. I personally love my doctor and she actually reads my history so she didn't have to ask over and over again what pregnancy I was on. You're not over thinking it, if you feel uncomfortable, find a new doctor.

It sounds like you need a new doctor. I've had to fill out all the paperwork with each pregnancy and yes filling out the prior pregnancy section always makes me sad, but I don't have to repeat my history to my doctor each time. I also see a practice with only one doctor so I guess if you see a practice with multiple doctors they would not all have your history memorized, however they should still be able to read your chart.

I'm sorry that they keep asking you that question over and over. Like the PP's, I would suggest finding a new doctor who will review your history prior to seeing you each visit. As far as the looks, I hope that you are incorrect or that they don't mean them in the way it seems as that is completely unprofessional.

With 3 miscarriages by 27 I feel like everyone in the practice knows me and my case. I would find a new doctor so you don't feel uncomfortable. It's incredibly reassuring that I don't need to tell each doctor my story each appointment and that they understand my extreme anxiety with some of my ridiculous questions.

So I agree with pp: find a new doctor! You should not feel uncomfortable with them. I'm sorry you're having to deal with that. And congratulations on this pregnancy!

I would tell the doctor to look at my f'ing chart. That's just me though . Rude for them to make you repeat it so many times.
