If that's CD9...perhaps call the office and see if they will do your ultrasound and bloodwork ahead of the consultation, so you can hit CD2-4 which is a required step? Also, perhaps you could let them know that you'll be meeting the RE on CD9, and see if they would get you on the schedule for an HSG in the window (which typically closes CD10 or CD12, if I remember correctly).
Or, just enjoy the consult (it felt like such a relief for us to put our worries in the hands of an expert!) and talk through the steps of testing before getting it all going. We did a couple of testing cycles and although I got impatient, it was also nice to start slow and get used to the pace of treatments.

@BlueFairy5 They did mention a bunch of tests over the phone, but I'm not remembering what they said. I was very nervous to call so I think all the blood rushed to my head!
@BunnyBerry I'm actually switching over to MH's insurance with the new year as my current insurance covers nothing for fertility, including testing. We're planning to use all the testing to go towards the deductible and then we have a specified amount of coverage for treatments and what not. So I won't be able to do anything before 01/01. We've budgeted for January to be the basics and discussing options. I'll be starting slow like you and have to wait until my next cycle for the rest of the testing.

April 2014 - Clomid 100mg CD3-7. HCG shot CD10 IUI #1 done on 4/12/14 (CD12) ....BFN May 2014 - Break cycle to repeat saline sonogram and re-group. Travel to Kauai 5/7-5/12 (Yay!!)
June 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD4-8. HCG shot CD14. IUI#2 done on 6/9 and 6/10 (CD15-16) w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW .... BFN
July 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD3-7. Ultrasound CD12 - 4 mature follies! HCG trigger shot CD12 AM. IUI#3 on CD13 w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW ....BFN
July 2014 - Repeat ultrasound done to measure size of fibroid - 8x9cm (the size of a grapefruit!) Surgery referral made.
August 2014 - MRI done which revealed 2 fibroids: a 13x15cm fibroid as well as an 8x7cm one. Super freak out mode over surgery plan. OB-GYN/surgeon said surgery would most likely have to be a laparotomy (open abdominal surgery)
August 2014 - After a 2nd opinion, plan to take Lupron x 2 months to shrink fibroids then laparoscopic/robotic myomectomy. Surgery date is set for Nov 21st!
November 2014 - Robotic myomectomy done (2 large fibroids removed, mild endo found). Benched x 3 months

Medicated Cycle #1: Letrozole 5mgs days 3-7, trigger when eggs are
ready: total bust...u/s 12/23-lots of little follies. u/s 12/26 follies grew

progesterone on CD35 to induce next cycle w/5mg letrozole CD 3-7, add follistim
CD 8. UPDATE: Positive OPK 1/1 and 1/2, very unexpected and unlikely that I'd ovulate this cycle!
