Evening Primrose Oil

Any success stories? The capsule itself is a monster so taking it orally probably isn't going to work out- bad gag reflex! I'm talking to my Dr Monday but just wondering if it's worked for anyone else before I bother bringing it up/spending money on it! 38w1d, 1cm 50% effaced, I've been having contractions but my cervix hasn't changed any in a few weeks! Also cannot have an epidural so even if it just made labor easier, I would love to know!

    I used it starting at 35 weeks. One oral, one vaginal before bed. 36 weeks I doubled it. At 37 weeks 4 days I skipped the oral and did 3 vaginal. Water broke the following morning and labor was about five hours.

    ETA I definitely don't think the EPO alone or me into labor,but maybe it helped*

    Some things I've read said to pierce the capsule, did you do that or just insert it & it dissolve?
