  she actually let me be tonight and between my laptop and dh's ipad i was able to research..

  still haven't come up with anything, but i think i narrowed it down to the nabi 2 and the kid's kindle fire...both have similar positive reviews and similar negative reviews.....i think the nabi might be a little more $$ but i think it also depends on which nabi? i saw a disney version for 199, but i've seen the regular version for 149? and i think amazon has the kid's fire on sale for 119....

  i mean i guess maybe at this point i'll leave it up to my folks as to how much they want to spend?

  as long as she plays with it instead of dh's ipad...

  i mean she has her own ipod but still prefers my phone.....she even has my old iphone...but still prefers my current phone...

  I'd go with the kids' kindle fire too. If DS weren't too obsessed over out phones and ipads that's what I'd get him.

  I got the kids Kindle. I like the 2 year warranty and that they will replace it if DS breaks it. It also comes with the year of Freetime, although I'm not exactly sure what's included with that. I don't have a tablet so I've been playing with the Kindle and I like it. I've already downloaded a few apps for him and plan on getting a few books so it will be all ready for Christmas.

  i decided on the kindle....i already have amazon prime, so if we link it to my account then that will be good....more free-ish stuff....however, the movies and shows that we have on our apple devices aren't free on amazon, so we'll have to pay again, but ohwell...cheaper than replacing an ipad if she breaks it...ya know?

  ok so....i had decided on the kindle fire kids...my dad ordered it and it came tootsweet (love the prime)

  i had wanted to set it up before she opened it so she could use it right away, but i didn't have time...

  good thing too...she ran out of steam before opening it (my parents and i both forgot about it so it was like the last thing opened) so she was off strolling around her dolls so i took it out to set it up....and the ONLY app i wanted on that thing was the watch disney junior app....i figured, i know the app, we have it...she loves it....it's available on the amazon app store, what problems could there be...

  IT DOESN'T WORK WITH THE NEW FIRE TABLETS!!!! UGH! could i be anymore pissed

  so i look up the app online on amazon and read the reviews....every other one says it doesn't work with the new fires, and that's from 2013...so i go to newest, and still ppl who just got it were complaining the same thing...if this has been an issue for a year, why hasn't it been fixed?  why would i read reviews on an app i already have an love? tell ya what, from now i'm going to read reviews on every app i look at just to make sure

  so now we have to return it....and i have to find a tablet that will work with the app....even the nabi and kurio on the watch disney jr app says to check with there app store...my niece has a tabeo and it doesn't work on that either...

  we're almost tempted to go halvsies with my parents for a refurbished ipad mini....take whatever they were going to spend on it and then make up the difference...she knows how they work, we know the app works, and we have movies and shows already downloaded and paid for on apple accounts....just seems like a 2yo shouldn't have an ipad...

  i loved that the fire had a 2 year warranty and came with a great cover that would protect it

  i'm so upset
