BB question

I had a thirsties duo cover with snaps and I didn't like the fit. I blame the single row of snaps. Snap BG and snap RaR seem to fit well. I was looking at BB covers and noticed they have a single row of snaps.... Do they fit better than thirsties?

I have a Thirsties aplix cover that I hate the fit of. I love my BB snap covers. So I guess I agree with the other ladies that it just depends on your kid.

I have both and best bottoms are in between the size one and size two thirsties. Bigger than the size one, but smaller than the size two.

We have one bb cover. We have a 90th percentile baby and I feel like she won't get to wear it for very long. We've already had to adjust the rise twice to make it bigger. Other than that I don't mind the snaps. They're fine. We have alot of econobum and flip covers so maybe I'm used to it.

I'm not a fan of snaps in general (at least right now) and was wondering about BB snaps vs. aplix. Is the aplix sticky? I had some Imagine NB AIOs and didn't like the aplix as it didn't stick well. Is BB aplix like that?

This exactly! I think the aplix fit longer too. My chunky-thighed, tall, 28 pound 2 year old has outgrown the snaps, but can still do aplix.

I love BBs! I actually prefer the single row of snaps because we don't get wing droop.

Crazy sticky is right. I have had trouble unsticking the aplix a couple times when I was trying.....I have a handful of BB aplix covers that I have been using for about 1.5 years now and the edges of the aplix is just now starting to curl and catch on ds2's sleepers and pull off but that's the worst issue I have had with my BB shells in that 1.5 years so I'm happy. I had 1 snap BB shell that I sold because I just didn't like the fit of the snap BB shells. FTR, the snap shells have elastic in the front and the aplix ones do not (something I learned from the BB bst board on Facebook)

I have one aplix BB, and I don't really like it.

I have a chunky baby, so I need covers that stretch. GroVia is working great for us right now.

Good to know about the BB aplix! I really want to try them but when I broached the subject with DH he was really against it.

He wanted to know why I felt the need to add another "system" to our Kawaiis, workhorses, and prefolds. He wants to stick with prefolds regardless of the fact that DD's princess heiney breaks out in a rash anytime we forget to use a fleece liner on top of cotton. I tried to explain what a neat idea the BB system is and how different diapers are good for different times of day, but he doesn't understand the need to "buy all the diapers".
