Good morning ladies!
I've been on the TTTC board for a few months but would like to join here too. I intro'd here about a year ago but haven't been around for a while, so I figured I'd re-intro. Here's my story:
DH (32) and I (31) have been married since March 2011 and have been TTC since July 2012. We have had 3 losses. Our first was a chemical (3/13), our second turned out to be molar (11/13) and our third was ectopic (8/14). After our third loss we were referred to a RE (finally!!). When we met with the RE. DH and I both loved him immediately. As one can expect, we had all the tests ran, blood work to check hormones, HSG, DH had SA, we did the genetic testing, we did it all. The end result was "unexplained infertility"... other than a low E2, there was nothing that was "abnormal". So we started on Clomid 50 mg. At my mid-cycle scan we also did a Post Coital test and discovered that my cervical mucous was too dry for sperm to get in on its own and have to do IUI (this could be caused by the clomid). IUI #1 yielded 1 mature follicle and a BFN. IUI #2 we upped the Clomid to 100 mg. I ended up with 5 mature follicles, my progesterone was in the 40's and my E2 was amazing as well. I triggered that night and IUI for the next 2 days. I even remember one of the directors saying "Hmmm looks like you'll be done with us now". The TWW was grueling. I tried not to get my hopes up... but honestly I failed. I tested out my trigger and just kept testing... I was sure I'd get my BFP... however I was wrong. I was devastated with another BFN... 5 mature follicles, DH sperm count was great, everything was lining up... just for nothing. I called my RE office yesterday unsure of what to do. Initially I told DH that I need break. A month of mental break. But, with each day, I think that "what if I take a break and that could have been our month". RE suggested one more month of IUI since my body is responding to the medications. They said if the 3rd doesn't take then we can discuss injectables vs. IVF.
