Soon, I'll be selling my car and needing to walk to the grocery store, Target, drug store, etc.
The problem I for see is that one of our strollers has a one piece handle bar (no place to hang bags). The other stroller is more of an umbrella style, and it's easy to hang bags on the handles, but it makes the stroller really tippy.
But $16 per bag seems like a heck of a lot.
I have a pair of the diaper bag hooks that velcro on to the frame of the stroller, has anyone had any luck using those for groceries?
I've also thought about trying to use the snap-press to make a snap on loop to keep the bottom of a reusable bag close to the stroller frame (which seems to be how the fancy bags work).
I'm not very good at sewing, so making an entirely DIY product is out of the question.
Also, I won't be using this set up for our big grocery shopping trips, just for trips to the farmers market, or a quick trip for a few grocery items. The trip to the store will (hopefully) not be much more than a mile each way.
I know from experience that I can fit a gallon of milk in the basket under the stroller, but that takes up pretty much all the room.
Any ideas? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy a couple of the bags from the website?
Re: NCDR strollers and reusable grocery bags.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.
This and using a decent stroller with a basket would help. I'd plan on going to the store mor often (less stuff to carry) and getting good reusable bags. I got pretty fab canvas bags off Amazon in sets of 3 for 25$. They are super sturdy, big, and the insides have pockets for things!
