in Pregnant after a Loss
I've been trying so hard to be positive and embrace this pregnancy that has come after such a long wait. Tonight I went to the bathroom to find some pink on my underwear and some blood in discharge when I wiped. Oh please let this be nothing. I'm trying to relax with my feet up and not freak out, but I'm nervous. No cramping is present, and I'll call the doc in the morning if it keeps up. I just needed to share this with those that would understand my panic.

    Sorry your going through this:( hopefully it is fertilization bleeding or SCH that is common and resolves itself. Prayers for you!

    Sorry about the spotting. Although I have not experienced this I've seen many stories from this board that ended up with healthy babies. FX for you.

    Oh no!  I am so sorry you are dealing with this.  FX it stops.  Spotting is so scary.

    Really sorry you are dealing with this! Spotting can be just spotting and not an indication of anything else.

    Thank you all for responding right away. I really appreciate it. It seems to have stopped for the moment, so I'm trying to stay calm.

    I had spotting after a pap in the first tri. Is there anything that could have irritated your cervix? FX that it is nothing.

    No sign of spotting this morning! So I am feeling a little relieved. Our last pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage. I didn't start spotting until the end of the 11th week, but the baby stopped growing at six weeks, five days. I just can't get that out of my mind. I think I'll call my nurse and let her know, but as long as it stays away I'm feeling much better about it.

    I completely understand how you are feeling. Although it is hard, try not to stress. When you stress, baby stresses. I had spotting at week 6 and week 9 (ER visit). I am 15 weeks tomorrow. Spotting does not necessarily mean miscarriage. I was really really scared also. Sending hugs!

    I also like to add to my previous post that i suggest you consult with your OB. My OB took me in right away because of the spotting. Since you have had history of miscarriage, they may monitor you a lot more closely. I had beta's done right away too, just to make sure they were doubling.

    Same suggestion. When I've spotted my doctor has sent me right in for an ultrasound to see what was going on in there. Definitely worth a call.

    I am in the same boat right now -spotting brown all day yesterday. Nurse said it was probably old blood from an irritated cervix but after 5 losses "probably" doesn't carry much weight with me! We went to emergency for an ultrasound last night (dr.s were all closed until after Xmas) and saw the little babe partying away in there. I'm 10.5 weeks. Still spotting today and I think I'll be worried until I'm holding a healthy baby! I've also heard many stories of spotting with normal pregnancies so I hope this is just another little blip in an overall healthy gestation.
    I hope yours has settled down and everything turns out ok.
    Sending out hopeful vibes for strong little heartbeats!

    @lawamf I'm sorry to hear that. Good luck to you. Luckily spotting stopped and hasn't returned so it seems I might've just upset my cervix. I'm hoping you get good news today.

    Update

    After 8 hours at the ER the doc said that everything looked fine and to see my OB next week. Hope he's right!
