Just letting y'all know, I am going out of town on Wednesday and will be gone til about the New Year. I will be mostly mobile. I will try to respond as much as I can. All my love, ladies. Extra ((Hugs)) Christmas is so hard.

**Ok, lovelies, we are trying out this new check in format that was posted on the boards. This check in will be posted the second and fourth Mondays of the month. Please do NOT update the old check in after the week of the check in has gone by. If you need anything from me between check ins, please PM me. As always ladies, I am here if you need anything. ((Hugs)) and I hope y'all have a wonderful week!!**

This is the weekly check-in for TTCALers who are also dealing with infertility. If you'd like to join us please feel free to intro with your diagnosis and history. We've had a few extra challenges thrown at us, ladies. Come here for snuggles from people who get what you're dealing with.

Fill us in, along with any other updates or vents you need to get out, TTCAL or NonTTCAL related.

I am a little bummed the iui wasn't the cure but I am also not surprised. The plan is we regroup with the RE on January 5th and come up with the new plan. I had the option of another medicated iui this cycle iui chose to take a cycle break.

We found out Saturday we have 13!! little embryos biopsied for testing and frozen while we wait. I'm back on bcp and will have my FET towards the end of January if all goes well. I still have to have an hsg too.
Tbh the holidays are starting to hit me, I had a huge breakdown yesterday bc I couldn't get chocolate to melt right for my cookies. Clearly I wasn't crying about just chocolate. (((Hugs))) to everyone this week

QOTW - Christmas morning my brother and I wouldn't be allowed downstairs until my parents said so. It was always the most fun spending that time with my big brother even though I can't remember exactly what we did.

AFM: Second natural cycle and it looks like I O'd early again. I am thinking cd15, which is the earliest I have every O'd on my own. However, it was also in the middle of the f-ing flu, so we covered nothing. At best we have O-2, which is not ideal. I dunno. I have to get one more temp rise to confirm. Oh well. I am ok with it. I am shocked that my body is actually working. It's kinda crazy. I have no idea what the New Year will bring us as far as treatment goes. I figure H and I will broach that topic after the holidays. At this point, I am just happy for the break.

@Km380 ((Hugs)) love. I am so sorry you had a breakdown. I am sure I will have one before to long. So far, I have been just keeping my head low and avoiding people. Extra post:::: sorry I'm bumping from work

Hiya!!! Ladies!

I'm doing splendidly. I'm working only two days this week then I'm off for 12! TWELVE GLORIOUS DAYS! In a row!!!!

I'm still benched. I will see my RE in January
Around CD2 and start my Lupron dance again. I'm really hoping this next FET is it for me. I don't think I can go on with TTC if it doesn't. My cycles are all screwed up....my emotions are all weird from my hormones being messed with for so long. I did need a break. I'm glad my RE benched me. I have my FX for this next go around and I may have found a little hope because I'm feeling hopeful about it.

Vacation was amazing, I came back to snow even! Everything has been really positive lately, which has me in a weird hopeful mood. We are set to start stimming Jan 6 for IVF #2 so currently just playing the waiting game.

QOTW: Every Christmas morning my mom makes homemade cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate. We then sit around the fire and talk about what are blessings are before opening presents. I wasn't a huge fan as a kid, but I have come to love it the most of anything.

Hi ladies...

my FET went great....the embryologist said that both embryos grew a little more since we froze them (I am guessing that is normal but we were excited for any growth). I was suprised at how emotional I was that day. So now we wait...beta is next monday. I am on 2 estrogen patches and 4 estrace pills which are making me super uncomfortable so it'll be really hard to know if I am having real symptoms or not. I am super hopeful but also super terrified at this not working out. I really want to be in a blanket fort all week...

thinking of all of you over the holidays...I know it can be a hard time of year. ((hugs))

@megrae12‌ glad to hear your body is working as it should! Did you and your husband figure anything out about moving forward? (Which I hope is not necessary)

@rubysi‌ sorry the IUI didn't work out. My first IUI was a busy as well. With escalating treatment it's hard not to get hopeful so it can be a let down.

@Km380‌ 13 embryos!!! That's fantastic. Sorry the holidays have been rough. I'll be happy not to see any more family picture Christmas cards arrive at my front door. Everything crossed for your FET in January!

@O2girl‌ 12 days off sounds amazing!!

@mysh I'm glad you've been enjoying the holidays. Keep us updated about IVF#2.

No success with IUI # 1. It was hard not to get hopeful about the cycle and I definitely had a mini meltdown CD1. But I started more Clomid on CD3, back in the saddle and all.

Plan for either IUI vs TI this go around. Only four days the clinic is closed per year are the 24/25th and 31st/1st. We'll see how my body cooperates. I have an ultrasound on 12/30.

QOTW: every year my whole family goes the day after Thanksgiving to cut down our tree. Then we get together and decorate it, it's one of my favorite holiday traditions.

Hey ladies!   My RE appointment last week went really well.   We talked through everything and have a new plan in place. We will do 2 IUI cycles with just oral meds, then if it doesn't work we'll do IVF in April. I feel pretty good about this plan.
I started my cycle on Saturday so I'm starting Femara today, for 5 days, then will do an IUI. I have my first ultrasound on Monday 29th which is perfect because I'm going to my parents that day and it's halfway in between my house and my parents (a little over an hour away). Then as long as I don't ovulate on New Year's Day (the only day they are closed) we'll be good for an IUI.   I also won't miss any days of work for this cycle so that's a plus too.
   The holidays are starting to get to me too. I thought I was going to be ok but I'm not.   I have no Christmas spirit and wish I could just hide during this time.   I really, really, really hope no one asks me when we are going to have kisd because I just can handle it right now.

@king26‌ that's the hard thing about doing a cycle around the holidays, but we didn't want to wait out a cycle. Hoping for the best, I normally O 9 days after Clomid so that would be 1/2-1/3. We have an US 12/30 and then probably 1/2, so the trigger may not work out.

@LDubHawksFan‌ sorry for CD1, we're basically cycle buddies. They actually called me and not MH about his SA.

Hi Ladies! I'm so sorry I can't respond to everyone, we literally just arrived at my parents place in Chicago and I snuck away from cookie decorating to write this!

Right now I'm just really worried that the surgery didn't work and this will be the end of the road for me. I have my follow up appt on 1/5 and once I get AF this cycle I will be monitored mid-cycle to see if the fluid has built up again. My doctor said we could try an FET with the fluid but most likely it would prevent implantation and possibly cause another miscarriage. If all is well I'll be put on BCP for my upcoming FET. Since we're going to Florida at the end of Feb an act of god has to take place for me to get a Feb FET (AF by 1/3, no fluid, and thick enough lining by the week of Feb 9th) otherwise my FET will be in March. I downloaded two books on adoption to my kindle for my trip. Adoption or surrogacy would be our only options and I thought it might be a good idea to start researching both.

This time last year I was so hopeful, and that cycle resulted in my second miscarriage. What a long road it's been. I'm hoping and praying 2015 is more kind to all of us...

@rcbv22 -welcome to the check in! So sorry for your loss and all of your complications. I think I will test the day before just so I'm not blindsided on Monday. Plus if it's bfn I can fall apart all day Sunday and get some of it out. During normal cycles I would always wait for af but this cycle is making me crazy. I may or may not have used an opk yesterday at 3dp5dt just to get peeing on something out of my system. I even can't believe I did that

@king26 ((Hugs)) hun. Christmas sucks so much. I hope you do not get any questions like that too. Is there any way that H can run interference for you? FX for your u/s and that you O in a time frame that you can do IUI.

@LDubHawksFan ((Hugs)) hunny. I hate CD1 as well. I am glad you found a place to do an HSG. Remember to take some ibprofren before you go and it should help with cramps. It only takes about 15 total minutes, so even if it hurts (which mine was a bitch) it is only for a short while. A nurse called me with H's SA results, so I guess it will just depend when your next FU appointment is compared to the results, does that make sense? I love your memory. That is so sweet.

Basically I had a shitty OB that wasted two years by giving me bad advice. The first RE we went to was also bad and didn't lead us in a good direction at all. I suspected that I had Endo and she performed the lap to remove it all within the first few months of seeing me. After the lap I went on Lupron for 3mo, which turned into being benched for 6mo. After several months of BFNs, and discovering a new endometrioma in my right ovary,(endo was back with a vengeance), my OB sent me packing to a new RE. He put us on the fast track to IVF with ICSI (DH had borderline motility and low count) and PGS testing. We used the majority of our savings to get the ball rolling. All was going great, good retrieval number, great fert report. We ended up with 5 perfect embryos ready for the FET, all we had to do was wait two cycles. During the second cycle I got a natural BFP. Needless to say we were blindsided! How did this happen?? But then, 8 weeks later, I lost my little miracle baby. Now we are in limbo, I'm just healing from the mc and D&C, I just got my first AF and am CD9. We have an appt scheduled with the RE for Jan 8th to talk about options. DH really wants to try naturally, but I'm ready to do the FET right away. I'm curious what the RE will say. Thanks for reading, sorry it's so long. I just want you all to know that I'm happy to have such a great community of women to turn to during all this craziness! My doctor said we could try an FET with the fluid but most likely it would prevent implantation and possibly cause another miscarriage. If all is well I'll be put on BCP for my upcoming FET. Since we're going to Florida at the end of Feb an act of god has to take place for me to get a Feb FET (AF by 1/3, no fluid, and thick enough lining by the week of Feb 9th) otherwise my FET will be in March. I downloaded two books on adoption to my kindle for my trip. Adoption or surrogacy would be our only options and I thought it might be a good idea to start researching both.

This time last year I was so hopeful, and that cycle resulted in my second miscarriage. What a long road it's been. I'm hoping and praying 2015 is more kind to all of us...

@Frenchteachermama ((Hugs)) love! I am keeping my FX that the surgery went well and there is nothing to worry about. I hope AF shows up for soon so you can get on schedule for a Feb FET. I, too, am hopeful that 2015 is better for us. Lord knows 2014 sucked monkey balls.

Thanks lady. We'll be with my family on Christmas so there's no way for him to run interference there but I'll be ok. I'm feeling a little better today then I was yesterday. Just gotta stay strong.

Yup and you can always go with the super blunt option. Or ask them if they meant to ask about your sex life. I have come up with creative ways to make ppl uncomfortable for asking questions that are none of their business. Of course, I am also brutally honest about a lot of things so....

@LDubHawksFan ((Hugs)) hunny. I hate CD1 as well. I am glad you found a place to do an HSG. Remember to take some ibprofren before you go and it should help with cramps. It only takes about 15 total minutes, so even if it hurts (which mine was a bitch) it is only for a short while. A nurse called me with H's SA results, so I guess it will just depend when your next FU appointment is compared to the results, does that make sense? I love your memory. That is so sweet.
I actually got the call with the SA results today. All good on that end!

Yay!! That is one less thing to stress about. Now, you just need the rest of your tests done and you will have a good plan going forward!

I'm feeling oddly hopeful- which may be causing the anxiety. I like to prepare for worst case scenario/not be hopeful. Something abt Christmas, the cycle just being "different" and being off work to just relax until Jan 5th is giving me some hope. I won't be able to make it to the follow up appointment for a booster shot, so my mom will have the joy of doing that. (She is a nurse...) When we decided we wanted kids, I never imagined things getting so awkward. Happy Holidays, all!
