Good Morning Ladies! I'm doing this entirely through mobile today, so forgive any weird formatting!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
We are a group of women striving to live healthier lives, whether that means losing weight, gaining weight, sticking to a specific diet, counting calories, avoiding counting calories, starting to exercise, continuing to exercise or anything in between.
We check in on Mondays and follow up with an accountability on Fridays (our favorite post of the week, because we love encouraging each other and celebrating all our successes!).
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Many of us are using MyFitnessPal to keep track of our eating and our exercise. MFP is a great tool to keep yourself accountable, and because it is set up as a social network site, we can cheer you on there as well as here. If you are using MFP and have not found us yet, let us know so we can friend you!

Re: Healthy Living Check-in 12/22/14
The good: my scale might be lying but somehow my weight is the same as when I started stimming and stopped working out and dieting
The bad: I stopped working out and dieting
The proud - hmmm my body responded well to fert drugs! Does that count lol
The plan - I'd be lying if I say go to the gym today and tomorrow. Really I'm just going to try to get the eating in check and try to start tracking again. If I make it to the gym even better
QOTW - there is healthy holiday food!?
PgAL welcome

The Good: Food has been on point! Even with cookies in the house.
The Bad: exercise has been lacking more than I would like.
The Proud: one cookie a day! I'm sticking to it!
The plan: keep my food in check. It's difficult during the hokidays, but in know I can do it. Also, it's not raining and I've got cold weather clothes.... I'm biking to the store today!
QOTW: the veggie tray. I could fill up entirely on veggie tray stuff. And if there is hummus, well bonus!

The Bad: I drank this weekend, so there were a lot of calories I didn't really need. However on the flip side I never feel like eating when I drink so that is at least a help.
The Proud: I have lost 4 pounds, and had thousands of cookies in the house this weekend and only ate 3.
Your Plan: Keep drinking the smoothies, water, and walking!
QOTW: What is your favorite healthy holiday food? Does turkey count? I love turkey. I would eat it all the time. I am trying to convince my H to let me make meals that call for hamburger using turkey meat.
@Menrandes Thanks for the check-in.
The Good: I went for a 3.3 mile run on Saturday and a 4 mile run this morning!
The Bad: A lot of drinking this weekend. We went bar hopping with the group from the gym on Saturday night. I was thinking about not drinking yesterday, but then we went over to a friend's and had beer and sangria.
The Proud: The running! I have lost three pounds since that scary number last week.
Your Plan: I would like to run as many mornings as possible over the next two weeks. Classes at the gym will be closed on Thursday, so I will get in two classes (Monday and Wednesday) this week.
QOTW: What is your favorite healthy holiday food? Jellied cranberry sauce. I think it counts. DH and I always have leftovers the next few days with lunch being ham, cranberry sauce, and biscuit sandwiches.

The Good: Since the weather is So. Cal is supposed to be beautiful this Christmas, we have planned several outdoors activities to look forward too while we have our nephews over the holiday.
The Bad: I am still addicted to candy cane Hershey kisses.
The Proud: I am keeping my candy cane Hershey kiss addiction moderately under control.
Your Plan: Continue evening jogs with MW and keep on track with meal planning so we don't cave into seeking processed fast food.
QOTW: What is your favorite healthy holiday food? Stuffing!

As for my fitness pal, it REALLY helped me when I first started losing weight long ago. I will admit that it was hard to get into the routine of documenting my meals but it got easier as more things were listed for foods. I lost 30 pounds and I think that documenting my food helped my accountability.
Hope it works well for you!
I can't respond to everyone right now, but I want to. MH just side eyed me big time based on the amount of time I spent responding to the Newbie Check in (my last week there). Anyway, just wanted to fill you in on some wins! I'm hosting Christmas Lunch at my house. We're doing seafood and mostly raw sides. Holy yummmm! Can't wait - and I know even if I fill myself to the stuffed level it will be mostly healthy foods!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!

The Good: I've been able to keep off some of the weight I lost last week while sick.
The Bad: Was weak today when it came to chocolate.
The Proud: I'm off all week from work and still got up early this morning to exercise.
Your Plan: Get up early tomorrow, Wed and Fri to exercise. I will probably take off Christmas though.
QOTW: What is your favorite healthy holiday food? LOL, healthy holiday food? Is there such a thing?
Much love ladies! I'm trying not to spend much time on the computer this week and more time on my house. Just wanted to stop in and say hi and see how everyone's doing.

@Nikolie93 *hugs* for you lady!
@Km380 Uh..yeah, your body responding well to the drugs is definitely good! I have so many fingers crossed for you lady.
@Elliecat17 Smoothies are great! I really need to get back into having smoothies for breakfast or lunch. That's awesome about the cookie restraint!
@flyoffeve Awesome running lately!! And I love me some cranberry sauce. Cranberries are so healthy that I think that even if they have to be all sugary, worth it!
@PowerOfBacon I hear ya on the year almost being over. Thank goodness. Where are you going on vacation?
@furrypaws I cut up veggies every week and eat them like a snack whenever the mood strikes. It's like having a veggie tray in my fridge all the time!
@sdfonz619 what kinds of outdoor activities do you have planned?
@catvaughn5002 hehe, at least you are being honest with yourself! You'll kick some butt in the new year!
@TowerClimbersWife That's awesome about hosting and doing healthy foods for your lunch! That is a huge perk of hosting. Controlling the food.
@rmpar29 Great job on getting up early to exercise even though you didnt have to. I'd fail at that for sure!

Two and a half years ago I weighed over 255 pounds. I got down to 175, which is something to be proud about even if I have gained some back. I'm just scared of getting back to that point.

The Good: worked out yesterday even though I was out of town. I usually slack when I'm out of town.
The Bad: my diet, still. But this time it wasn't the foods fault. It was all the alcohol.
The Proud: the routine of working out consistently is getting a little easier. I'm almost back in the habit. Hopefully Christmas traveling doing screw me up.
Your Plan: going to workout RIGHT NOW... It's BEAST TIME!
QOTW: Mac and cheese! Is that a holiday food?!?

The Bad: I haven't been as consistent with tracking foods. It's so time consuming!
The Proud: Not a whole lot of proud right...give me a few weeks?
Your Plan: Track foods, balance carbs, and try to work out at least twice this week.
QOTW: What is your favorite healthy holiday food? My family has moved from greasy heavy appetizers to fruit/veggie/cheese trays. Between my gluten-free, an aunt that's low-carb, and another aunt that's low-calorie, it's hard to accommodate all of the dietary restrictions, but this one makes everyone happy.
@whitneyandconcep It sounds like you have a good plan for the week, especially during the holidays! I love the veggie tray/fruit platter/cheese plate trio at parties. If those three things are there, I find I barely need to touch anything else at all!
