Since about 12 weeks we have had weekly (or more frequent) visits with the MFM fetal cardiologist after an u/s revealed that the baby had a heart rate of 216 bpm. Thankfully now at 19 weeks the heart rate has lowered to 180-185 bpm, still too high, but not as scary as before. Baby is growing normally and there are no signs of hydrops. It's just frustrating not knowing what the issue is. Has anyone else dealt (or is anyone currently dealing) with this issue? I would be interested in hearing how the pregnancy progressed and if you ended up needing any medical interventions. *edited to correct spelling error*

Our son, Grayson, had supraventricular Tachycardia or SVT. We found out at an US at 30 weeks. I was given heart medications while pregnant the last 5 weeks of my pregnancy, so they were going to him ( they aren't sure why he came at 35 weeks). The medication was to help regulate his heart rate because his was bouncing all over the place. His would be normal (140's) then bounce up to 230-240. After birth, he was in the NICU for a week for monitoring with no irregular heartrates. At 2 weeks he was acting extra fussy and I checked his heartrate and it was 280! So we took an ambulance ride to the nearest children's hospital (3 hours away) and put on medication. He took them for 8 months. The medication "taught" his heart to beat regularly and he is now a happy healthy 2.5 year old.
We had a few dr appts over the 2.5 years but no surgery. We are just told to check him when he is acting overly tired, refusing to eat, and when he goes through big growth spurts.
If you have any questions or wondering about anything I am happy to answer them. Just let me know!
