Ok ladies I am sure you are all very informed when it comes to this subject. I beleive I am as well. My son's dad and I have been divorced for 2 and a half years now. And over the past six months have been arguing over the car seat that he is using. We live in Michigan. DS is 3. He is 42" and about 40lbs. Because of his height and weight his father believes he can use a booster seat with no back and no belt across his chest. To my knowledge he still has to be in a car seat of a full back booster seat until he is four, regardless of height append weight.
I would appreciate all of you opinions or knowledge on this matter. Thank you! Hope your all having a wonderful holiday.
Re: child safety seat 3 year old
What is with these fathers that are too cool for car seats despite the law and safety concerns? This is the second similar post in the last couple days.
I don't know if I have any advice on changing the mind of your child's stubborn and defiant father but at the least I would make him aware of the law and let him know that I was not comfortable with him not being in the proper seat. If he still refuses you could threaten to report him if it is important enough to you. I would not let anyone transport my children without a proper seat and that would go for their father too if we were divorced.
