Congested 3 month old

My son is sick & very congested! I feel like he has trouble breathing & it breaks my heart! I've been breastfeeding, using the humidifier, and the nose frida. Anything else you all can suggest?!? No fever, Thank God! We are monitoring that.

    My daughter has been the same way for awhile. My doctor also recommended the Vic's plug ins as well as elevating the crib. Hope he feels better soon!

    I use little noses saline drops - it works great and we always use it before clearing her nose to soften the mucus up

    Started acupuncture/herbs July 2012 

    First BFP 9-8-2012,EDD 5-15-2013, heartbeat of 175 at 8w2d, mmc discovered on 10-26-12 (11w6d) Cytotec on 10/26/12

    8/23/13 DX with non-IR PCOS

    Second BFP 9.12.13, EDD 5.29.14, heartbeat of 114 at 6w1d, mmc discovered on 10-18-13, D&C on 10/23/13 (baby girl/Trisomy 10) 

    Third BFP (surprise at Beta draw after d&c) on 1/10/14 (15dpo), EDD 9.20.14 Please be our RAINBOW!

    I will also chime in on the saline spray/drops. I have also taken LO into the bathroom with me during a couple of showers.

    My poor girl had a bad coughing spell after using the saline spray ... So I've been avoiding that I've been using the nose frida and the Vicks plug in .... Sitting in a warm steamy bathroom for about 15 minutes may help too

    I turn the shower on as hot as possible and put her swing in the bathroom with the door shut. Helps a lot and mommy gets to paint her toes. :) my LO is very sick now too! Hope they both feel better soon!

    Thank you for all your comments! We've done the shower & saline drops too! I read not to use Vicks because it could cause more problems. Not sure! Hope your little one gets well too!

    If you are breastfeeding put a few drop of breast milk in the nose. Just use a medicine dropper, it's magic.

    There is baby Vicks that is okay. Regular Vicks has menthol which is bad for LOs.
