bottles = up all night baby

We have been giving a bottle a night for 2 weeks now. Baby has been up really late every night since we started. She used to sleep very well. Last night we did not give a bottle and voila she slept for 8 hours straight. Today we gave one and well I am still up at 2am. So wtf is going on?

Could be a comfort thing, especially if she nurses to sleep! Does she seem gassy at all?

I do nurse her right before she goes to bed but she is always a little awake when I put her down. Maybe its gas.

Another thing with nursing is that baby is getting exactly how much he/she needs/wants vs how much we think they should be getting when we prepare bottles. Are you using paced feeding when bottle feeding? That may help... it's more BF friendly.
