Accomplishments for the day?

edited December 2014 in December 2014 Moms
Whether you have an inside or outside baby.. it's tough to get things done these days! What have you accomplished today, if anything? I brushed my teeth and showered! Now I am going to really try to push my luck and make Christmas cookies.

Edit to add:

No one started a TMI Tuesday thread... butttt.. I am 5.5 weeks PP and going commando for the first time since being like 4 months pregnant and it feels fabulous!

Re: Accomplishments for the day?

  • I've watched YouTube videos. Been attached at the boob to LO. I might have thrown a load of laundry in the washer. That is where it still sits... I took a nap! That about sums up my day.

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Wrapped gifts, showered and cleaned a bit.... But now I'm exhausted
  • Been at work since 7:45, hubby was running late so I came in early to let employees in and catch parts deliveries. Went back home finished getting ready, back at work, parts orders, bill paying, customers, working on Christmas cards, ran to the bank, have some more errands to run....it's going to be a typical 12 hour day. Good thing tomorrow will be low key, I am tired and now 40 weeks pregnant.
  • We went to IHOP, and grocery store. That was enough.
  • Took LO to the doctor...took a 1.5hr nap. Blow-dried the front parts of my hair so i didn't look like a homeless lady. Plan to take another nap/shower before my brother gets in from the airport.

  • Can u use yesterday? We took DD to the Cabelas store to look at the fishes in the tanks and animal displays. Then we went to our big Festival of Lights display. The activities disturbed our normal nap and bed routines which is normally a no go, but we did it anyway and DD had a blast!

Today, I ... Showered and the house is clean (but that's misleading because the cleaning lady came).

  • We all slept til at least ten this morning, went to the grocery store (a wwonderful lady made me cry and bought my groceries) then since its my BFs day off hes been doing everything all day.
  • I've accomplished... I'm drawing a blank. We're just hanging out with my mom and sister. I attempted to figure out this starter SNS. Too much to fiddle with. I still have to do my twice daily fundal massage to put my displaced uterus back into place. Yay!

  • Let's see--LO slept almost 4 hours last night (this morning), I took a 30-minute nap and that was the best sleep I've gotten since we came home from the hospital. Also, my milk is finally coming in 5 days PP! Woohoo!
  • Can I add a TMI? I think I am going to have a butt baby tonight. I have never felt so much pressure back there!

  • EDD is today and baby showing no signs of wanting to come out. Had myself a pity party and ugly cry about not having met my LO yet and him not being here for Christmas. Then I took a nice long bath, and did my hair. Cleaned the house, put laundry away. Tackled the mountain of mail and paid bills. Went to the liquor store to pick up wine for Christmas gifts. Wrapped the last of the presents and now I have nothing left to do. Thinking about making some good food for Christmas and maybe even baking a cheesecake tomorrow.

  • I actually took all three kids to the mall to get a last minute xmas gift, baked some bread, and finally wrapped presents. LO is three weeks today and I am finally getting to where I am not constantly exhausted. I will probably crash later though.

  • Vacuumed, mopped, cleaned master bath, scrubbed carpet stains, washing curtains, and entertained a 4 year old. This definitely doesn't happen everyday but baby is coming on Sunday and nesting like crazy! Now off to watch sex and the city while DS naps :)
  • I'M DOING LAUNDRY!

(Sorry, this just feels like a momentous accomplishment for me today)
  • Took a shower and got DD ready for school, put away some of the mountain of laundry that I washed just before going into labor and did two loads of dishes. BFing, diapers, an outfit change for DD2, and lots of snuggling while I putter online and sing parts of songs I don't actually know the words to as well. I'm bad at napping.

DD2 is pretty chill but still, I feel like it's so much easier the second time.
  • Finished sewing DD's Christmas stocking.  Just in time for Santa to fill it tomorrow night!

    anything good?

Simon's Cat videos. And Jimmy Fallon. So probably not lol.
  • I made lunch, changed 800 diapers, bf'd, pumped, showered and pooped. The latter nearly killed me.

  • I've done laundry (well 1/2 way through), showered, written thank you cards, eaten lunch and sorted some maternity clothing.   I must confess that my mom and then my MIL were here to hold the baby while I did all that.  Usually nothing gets accomplished.  My dad also came and took the garbage out, swept the floors and cleaned the kitchen.  Lucky me!

  • I packed our hospital bag, watched some gloss seal dry on a craft project, and made rolls with my grandma. I have an inside baby still, and I have a whole lot of other crap to do, but that felt like I actually accomplished something for once.
  • I finally showered. That's gonna be it for accomplishments today! I have mastitis so just trying to rest (Ha! Not easy with 3 kids 4 and under...). Thankfully grandparents saved the day by coming over after nap time (nobody napped, lol). Just started abx so hoping to feel better in 24hrs!

  • I spent three hours checking work emails with LO on my lap in an attempt to not get too far behind ( still have over a weeks worth left ugh). Did not shower ( I am on the every other day plan). Put some clothes in the washer but they haven't made it to the dryer yet. Went to the store with DH and LO because I needed to get out of the house. The rest if the day was spent with LO on my lap.
  • Some of you guys are serious rock stars. Today was a pretty lazy day - probably the laziest since we were discharged. LO is finally latching so we're trying to establish our breastfeeding relationship and phase out pumping/supplementing (we saw an LC yesterday who gave us a good plan). So much of the day was spent with LO on my boob/lap. I did try on some nursing bras that showed up today, emptied the dishwasher, did a load of laundry (still needs folded), and made a list of thank you cards to send. My parents show up tomorrow evening so I really should try to do some more tidying tonight...but I think I'm tapped out for the day.

  • I took DD1 to school so I had a very productive day. Those are the only days I can get anything done.

So I showered, dropped off #1, then me and #2 went to Target, Old Navy to pick up $4 shirts for #1, the supermarket for food for the week, then I came home and put it all away before picking up #1.

Now I just made dinner and threw it in the oven. We are on track for dinner and bath. And dad won't even be home till after #1 is in bed for the night. Go me!

Days both are home are far less productive.

  • I still have inside baby but despite the fact it felt like she was falling out any minute I was able to get some laundry done. Did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen a little. Did a.little decorating and took a small nap. Now we're off to do Christmas/Festivus celebration with our BFs. No idea what I'll do tomorrow. Maybe Christmas cookies...
  • I showered. Did the dishes. Did some work on my prospectus and then skype-met with my advisor on methodology. I watched about 10 hours of HGTV shows and judged people for their stupid home preferences and nitpicking. Oh, and I fed DD like 10,000 gallons of milk today.

  • It's hard to get a lot accomplished. My to do list keeps growing and by the time my DH comes home from work I don't feel like leaving the house. My LO is 5 weeks today and I have left the house with him a couple of times. I
  • I haven't done any of these things yet, but today I'm really hoping to accomplish:

make some breakfast (I keep forgetting to eat)
    take a shower
    go to BF support group
and somehow do all of this while maintaining 2 hour BF/pump/supplement schedule

Oh, and if my #$()#*&@& milk would come in today, that would be great.
