Comfy Crib?

I want to work on getting LO out of our room in the PnP and into his crib over the holidays.  I know babies are supposed to be fine on that hard crib mattress, but LO needed some luxury in the PnP before he would go to sleep in that (ie. a folded blanket for padding beneath the crib sheet, and towels rolled into the shape of a 'U' under the sheet to recreate the snugness of the swing, and an incline).  Do you think I should make the crib the same?  If not what would you keep and what would you try to wean him out of (I KNOW I'm keeping the incline)?

Any other suggestions to help with the transition are very much appreciated!

  • Just a note, too, they make a wedge pillow you can put beneath your crib mattress to elevate the one end.

  • We put a small blanket underneath the crib sheet to add some warmth for DD. Her mattress is the plastic water proof type and even with the crib sheet it felt cold when we put her down. She started waking up right after so we thought maybe that was the problem.
