I'm 32 weeks pregnant today and I feel sooo tired. I don't know if it's just the strain of pregnancy, poor sleep quality, or maybe if need to switch my prenatal pills. Does anyone else feel like just sleeping until your due date?
I find myself operating on a tortuous level of exhaustion, especially from about 3-7 in the afternoon/evening. I know it's 3rd trimester energy suck, and also pregnancy insomnia and nighttime restless leg & charlie horses for me - plus the nocturnal wakings of 3 small children here and there. All I want to do is sleeeeeeep.
I got home from work at 6pm yesterday, took a bath, fell asleep from 7-7:30, ate dinner, was back in bed asleep by 8:30 and woke up this morning at 6:30. (poor sleep all night though, tossing turning, up to pee ect) and I could probably go back to bed right now and sleep. Pregnancy is rough.
I've never been so tired in my life! All I want to do is nap. You are definitely not alone.... Unfortunately I'm not sure where the light at the end of the tunnel is.
I always have these big plans for when DD naps. Wrapping presents, cleaning the kitchen, etc. Then she lays down and I crash on the couch and fall asleep. For two hours. Whoops.
These last few weeks have been the only time this pregnancy that I've felt completely exhausted most days. (Before just intermittent days here and there.) So tired this trimester.
I am exhausted but need to clean my house. It is beyond disgusting and is starting to cause fights between me and DH. He and I are making a cleaning schedule for the remainder of our winter break from school. One room a day is all I can promise at this point. I just want to curl up and sleep.
This pregnancy has been one thing after another for me. Nothing "major" but enough to be a huge inconvenience/ACTUAL pain (in a way that neither of my first two pregnancies were...).
22 weeks of morning sickness (on medication)
Excruciating pinched nerve in my sacrum (so bad I could not drive and could barely walk)
Two bad colds that each lasted well over a week
Gestational diabetes
And now a weird stomach cramping bug thing that sent me to the hospital today thinking I was in labor.
I'm thankful the baby is safe and sound through all of that, but I'm OVER IT. I'm tired of having to call work with things that sound like I'm making them up or being dramatic. I have two kids, a full time GM-level job, a consulting gig on the side and the Holidays. I'm DRAINED. I've always been a "work until my due date" kind of gal, but I am SERIOUSLY contemplating letting me doctor call me out early just for some much needed- down time. A 7-week coma sounds divine...
Right there with you. Plus I'm sick, DD is sick and there's a ton of drama/stress going on at work. I just want to stay in bed till baby is ready to arrive.
Absolutely exhausted. I can attribute mine to lack of sleep. No matter how tired I am or how much time I have available to sleep I just can't get more than 3-4 hours either. My body won't let it happen either from discomfort, restless legs, or getting up to pee every 2 hours or more! The other night I was up 3 times in 2.5 hours. Ugh.
I think we are all at that point. I toss & turn all night long because I can't get comfortable or constantly waking up too pee. And here recently the hubby has started snoring out of no where so there's just no rest for me. Unless I catch naps on the weekends :,(
I think being extremely tired is totally normal at this point, and you aren't alone! Getting poor sleep at night, and being out of breath since your lungs are getting squished could all contribute to being more tired than usual. I've been combating tiredness with (nervous) restlessness. I live in Denver and it's been perfect snowy/cold weather to just hibernate, but I still feel like there's stuff I should be doing....unfortunately I just don't have the energy to do it.
@anamculbertson You aren't alone! My hubbies snoring has been driving me nuts recently. I just started kicking him out to either sleep on the couch or on the floor of the nursery. Luckily he's a sweetie, and doesn't mind.
@DBride2006 Wow, you have been going through a TON during this pregnancy. I'm sorry that it's been so rough. Mine hasn't been nearly as difficult as yours, but it certainly hasn't been easy. Hang in there, we should be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Absolutely! Can I sleep for two months too? Some women feel energized while pregnant, I'm feeling lazy and walking hasn't helped. I'm trying to get as much sleep as possible before Jackson is born because I know that it will be even more rare after he's here.
