Why can't people be nice?

Ive asked a few questions on here, and I've had some great responses but also had people telling me my questions are stupid and why did I even ask. I have bought multiple pregnancy books and read online, but it's nice just to confirm I'm not alone and hear from others who are pregnant and going through the same things. This is my first pregnancy and I thought that's what this forum was for - support from others. If you don't like my questions don't respond but please don't be rude if you do respond. If you are pregnant why bash another pregnant lady or make her feel bad - especially with all these crazy hormones, it's just not nice. Anyway, that's all. Thanks to those who have been supportive. Happy holidays everyone!

  • Lol well here's my entertainment for the day.

If you used the search bar to search topics before you ask questions you probably wouldn't have a problem. You would also see that threads of this nature never go over well.

I typically try to stay away from these kinds of posts. But there have been so many the last few days it's just getting ridiculous.
@wife1203‌ I read through your previous posts you got some sound advice and support from most of the responses.
You asked a question that has been asked a million times and is covered under EVERY pregnancy book, app forum article etc.
I suggest you put your big girl panties on, accept that your question deserved some of the snark and sarcasm it got and move on.
The only time posts are met with rude or snarky remarks are when they are:
    1) calling the board a bunch of mean bitter snatches
    2) you are a wk for point 1
    3) you ask a obvious or repetitive question.

  • Mmmmm hash browns.
  • There are actually a lot of nice ladies here who love to help And answer questions. However, asking the same thing, posting so many posts and not helping others out isn't going to help your case any. Do what I do. Lurk, read others posts and maybe post your opinion. Give a little as you take. It's a two way street here.

Ok I am the OP which I think means original poster of this discussion. I guess I am being sensitive - side effect of crazy pregnancy hormones. I am not that good using this app on my iPhone and didn't know I could search and find other posts. I can put my big girl panties on and say I'm sorry for this post and I'll get over it. I'm getting tested for yeast infection today and just want to be safe rather than sorry that I'm just peeling A LOT bc pregnant and not bc something underlying. I really appreciate this forum and will keep reading and maybe post again, but for now will try to make sure questions haven't been asked before. Hopefully yall can respect what I'm saying. Sorry if I was sensitive - will promise I will work on that.
@wife1203 - Good. Glad you can see we aren't a bunch of meanies (unless absolutely necessary). I hope your appointment goes well.
  • I hope your appointment goes well.
    Hang in there!
  • holy shit... my wish came true!

    IT"S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!!!!!!!

Also.. doesn't a yeast infection make it painful to pee?  OP... does it hurt to pee?
I thought that was more with a urinary tract infection.
  • I had a UTI early pregnancy and to be honest think I'm just paranoid I have again or something else. It could be in my head but it does a little and just doesn't feel right you know. Pee sample came back normal for UTI yesterday so just confirming now not yeast infection. kinda more than normal whiteish discharge that smelled in underwear yesterday and pee kinda cloudy.
It could all just be in my head but with long plane ride and drive tmrw for holiday just want to be confirm either way.
Again, sorry yall for being dramatic! Swear it won't happen again...really appreciate the help and again sometimes I just need to realize when I'm wrong - I swear the one symptom been steady my whole pregnancy crazy hormones!! It's nuts and I'm not myself sometimes - usually come back around and become rational again haha.

When pg, you have a ton of extra discharge that is normally white and can make pee cloudy. It's normal. But yeah-- best to get it checked out just to be sure.
  • Thanks yall!!
  • Hope your appointment goes well!

  • I don't think I've officially introduced myself anywhere; STM, 21 weeks +, a 3 yr old boy and girl on the way. Now, my response: odds are if you had a yeast infection, you'd know it. I had one due to taking antibiotics about three weeks ago and it was horrific. I'm allergic to Monostat so my OB prescribed another cream. I had no changes peeing, I was just wanting to claw my lady parts and rip them away (tmi?). Discharge did change somewhat but the itch and burning was the biggest symptom. Good luck at your appointment.
  • Good on you OP! I hope others can learn from your level headed response.
Best of luck with your appointment today! Nerves can get the best of anyone during pregnancy.

glad you're getting it checked.  It's easy to throw the yeast/bacteria balance off down there and a lot of times if you were treated for a UTI with antibiotics, it can kill your good bacteria as well.  Good luck with the results.

So, update - OB didn't even do swab basically just said start with monostat PH and let him know if gets worse. He's sooo laid back it's almost frustrating. I did get to hear the babies heartbeat again though - 152 heartbeat. Is still the most amazing thing to hear! Hopefully will just feel completely normal down there soon, but maybe with pregnancy I need re-evaluate what "normal" is. Anyway, just wanted to follow up with yall wishing me good luck at my appt!
I agree it's frustrating that they won't just tell you if you had it or not, but I think for a yeast infection this is pretty standard.  When I called my pedi suspecting a yeast infection for my DD, the nurse didn't even have me bring her in; she just told me to go ahead and treat it with OTC stuff as if it is and then tell them how it goes.
