We're planning on going to Boston for a week in April for our second year anniversary, but H will be working so it's not some exotic getaway. We'll still have fun, though!
I just booked our 'Babymoon' to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. It's a brand new all-inclusive resort and the weather is supposed to be really nice there in March. I can't wait to be relaxing on the beach!
If you are looking for a beach type vacation, I also highly recommend Playa del Carmen in Mexico. We went a few years back and it's amazing!
Budget, how far do you want to travel? what do you like to do? (beach, outdoorsy, spa- lots of sightseeing/historical stuff). oh, and what month do you want to go?
My hubby and I are making a pit stop in Toronto to see Bush in concert (the hubby is a huge fangirl haha) followed by relaxing for a couple days in Niagara Falls. I'm Canadian, and we decided to keep it local and simple.

I'm a travel agent and we book a bunch of babymoons! Unfortunately, about the best time for me to take one (personally) is when the whole company is blocked from vacation time. January-April is a no-time-off zone, so we won't be going far... Major bummer!

My aunt in law has a condo in Playa, I hear you can snorkel right off the beach, was that the case in the area you stayed in while there? We were thinking of going there for our babymoon, or maybe after baby is born.
We were planning to go to the DR or Bahamas before DH got laid off. If he gets the job he's currently interviewing for (very good chance), we'll book smthng for March. If not, our babymoon will prob be a Broadway show and overnight in Manhattan with my bestie and her husband.
We've traveled extensively over the past 6 (kid-free) years so if we don't take a trip, it's not the end of the world. I could def use some sun and palm trees though! Winter is my least favorite season.
Our plan is to take off a week in March and not plan anything until a week before. Plan on taking advantage of a last minute travel deal. This is our first baby, so we plan to take full advantage of our last vacation that we can literally fly by the seat of our pants! I am a huge planner so this is a little out of my comfort zone, but it will be fun!
My requirements include: hot, beachy, spa, and great food!
Booked us a long weekend in Big Bear California about 1 1/2 hours from where we live in January on my birthday. Very woodsy, lots of snow and small town. It was 80 degrees here today, so it will be a welcomed change.
I leave for Hawaii next week for New Years. A much needed trip for me and my hard working hubby. I traveled from LA to NYC at 14 weeks. After hour four I became extremely uncomfortable and was cramping terribly. Once the discomfort started it was impossible to get rid of. Traveling mamas, make sure to get your blood circulating at least once an hour. I learned the hard way. This time we're traveling first class. I hope the extra space makes a difference.
My hubby and I are making a pit stop in Toronto to see Bush in concert (the hubby is a huge fangirl haha) followed by relaxing for a couple days in Niagara Falls. I'm Canadian, and we decided to keep it local and simple.
We did Toronto and Niagara over US Thanksgiving two years ago, and it was awesome! We like wine, so we spent Thanksgiving day at Niagara on the Lake. So quaint and pretty.
We went to Aruba at the beginning of December. It was originally planned as an anniversary trip but became an impromptu babymoon as well. Maybe we will go for a long weekend somewhere closer to June.
We're visiting my family in S Florida for two weeks but I'm determined to spend more time at the beach/pool and less on the couch/in the AC than in prior years. It should be easier for me to get motivated since I cant drink beer! I dont know what to do special for DH to make it romantic, maybe take a night away from the family in a hotel.
J'15 January Signature Challenge: Pinterest Fail: I want to do one, but I was late in starting and now I'm too lazy to get in on it. This is how most of my pinterest fails normally occur, at least I didnt buy supplies.

That sounds beautiful, you're so right about it being quaint and pretty. All those little B&Bs are just awesome. I've only been in the summertime, so I'm hoping it's just as nice in the winter (we plan on going in Feb before I'm too pregnant)
The only bummer is I loveeee wine, but won't be able to enjoy it. I'm sure DH will drink enough for the two of us, though! :P

At my Drs appointment last night she asked me if we were traveling anytime soon, I said Vegas and Possibly France (for work) She looked at me and said get up and walk the cabin once an hour. No matter how you feel walk it will help. I plan on letting the flight attendants know that Im pregnant so when they see me walking they dont think that I am crazy!
We are going to Cancun for a friend's surprise birthday weekend in 3 weeks. 4 days no kiddos so it's the longest weekend we've had yet away from our son and I'm looking forward to that and the sunshine. We were supposed to start trying to get pregnant on this trip so I will be missing out on the unlimited boat drinks but we have stayed at this resort before and the food is actually decent so I'm looking forward to sun, rest, food and books. And a few glasses of decent wine you can order a la carte.
I'm jealous of all you ladies going to exotic places! I told DH last night about babymoons and he said "Whoa, whoa, whoa. First push presents, now babymoons??" I'm probably going to lay off for a while lol.
I'm so jealous of all of your trips. DH and I have been talking about trying to take a long weekend in February, but our budget doesn't love the idea. Which basically rules out a beach vacay, so we're trying to see if we can do low budget in a city without freezing our asses off (we have thin southern blood, and I have no desire to buy a maternity coat since we only get about a week of truly cold weather a year).
blastocarrier30 We're right there with you with the tight budget, I HIGHLY doubt we'll be doing any kind of special trips before Fergus gets here. Especially not with the prospect of getting a new-to-us car looming over our budget. But hey, we're still in our first year in this house, and it's our first house, so I'm ok with that.
@finchfeeder80 we are SO in the same position. DH's car is in a "could go any minute" position. We almost have enough saved to feel comfortable buying him a new one, but we're trying to make it last as long as we can. Taking a pricy vacation seems like asking for trouble.
We've considered just getting a hotel in town for a night or a weekend, so at least we don't have to pay to travel, but I'm not sure we would really feel like it's a vacation. This is one of those times I feel like winning the lottery would be really nice
No babymoon for us. We travel a lot as it is and we wanted to do a Europe trip before we even started trying so my husband came with me to Paris on a work trip and we did a side trip to London. I travel to Europe for work and my husband travels for work too so we're looking forward to staying home.
My hubby and I are making a pit stop in Toronto to see Bush in concert (the hubby is a huge fangirl haha) followed by relaxing for a couple days in Niagara Falls. I'm Canadian, and we decided to keep it local and simple.
@jamieswifeyforlifey my hubby is a Bush fan girl too!! We saw Gavin Rossdale live a few years back in a super small venue and he behaved like I did at boy band concerts in the 90s lol. Glad to know he isn't the only one
We are going to a lovely resort in Sedona for the weekend at the end of January. I don't feel comfortable flying while pregnant (I have horrible OCD).

Just did a 10 hour flight and I was miserable! I couldn't get comfortable and had a lot of back pain. That stopped the idea of flying to Hawaii for our Babymoon. Plan now is to rent a cabin for a long weekend and relax with our dogs!
