Welcome to the Been There, Done That Check-in!!! Check-ins will be every Tuesday. Your check-in leaders are @Carol77B and @Justone13.
This is check-in is for anyone who is past their 2nd IVF cycle (including any FETs) or if you have suffered multiple losses. If you haven’t made it to your ER but have done at least two cycles, this place would be great for you! After multiple failed cycles we aren’t as chipper and full of sunshine like we were during our first cycle. This group is intended to give us a safe place where we can vent, update, obtain info and bond with other veteran IVFers. If you are currently cycling or waiting on a cycle this group would be a great place for you! You are more than welcome to join the monthly group if you are currently cycling and if you are "hanging onto a dream" feel free to stay with that group also and you can always post here, too! Any questions or concerns just ask!!

@AuroraP725 I'm sorry your lining didn't cooperate. I hope your RE can come up with a plan for your next cycle.
AFM: this week starts the crazy whirlwind to transfer day. I fly to Chicago tomorrow to see KK on Thursday for blood flow us and ivig. Fly to Cleveland on Thursday to say hi to my family for Christmas. Fly back to NC on Sunday. My official lining check with CC.RM is on Tues. if everything goes well we fly out to CO on Sun 12/28. I'm exhausted just thinking about it!!

AuroraP725 I'm so sorry you had to cancel your cycle. I really hope the med helps as does the time off. I hope you get a good plan in place and can start feeling optimistic again.
@hmz819 holy cow that is a lot of travel logistics!!! Looks like you'll be racking up the frequent flyer miles! I hope it all goes wonderfully.
AFM - I'm really looking forward to the follow-up appointment. I hope that my records are processed timely (they said two weeks) so I don't have to push it out, further. Unfortunately, DH is freaking out about the huge amount of money and time we've spent with "nothing to show for it" which has caused a real strain in our relationship, but we are trying to work through it.
QOTW: I love the home improvement shows, but don't really consider them "guilty pleasures." I will occasionally switch to E and think everything on that station is a "guilty pleasure." The one I feel the guiltiest about watching, and will always switch from if DH comes into the room, is "Keeping up with the Karshasians" but I actually learned a few things about infertility treatments and pregnancy/nursing from that show, so it isn't all bad

AFM, Just cruising along on BCPs, pred, and supplements. I start lupron in 6 days and my baseline is 2 weeks from today. I have a feeling things will go quickly between between now and my FET on 1/20.

October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos
November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues. Converted to freeze all due to lining issues. 2 blasts frozen on day 6!
January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues
April 2015: FET #2.1

Natural IUI on 11/8 -- BFN
IVF#2.2 (ICSI)--Nov/Dec 2014: MDL without BCP, 5R, 1 ICSID, frozen on day 6 (grade 2BB)
FET #1: transferred two 5 (or 6?)day embryos on January 27. Beta #1 (2/4): 158, Beta #2 (2/6): 391 Beta #3(2/9): 1187 BFP!
First u/s at 5w1d showed one gestational sac and yolk sac. Second u/s at 6w showed heartbeat at 102. Third u/s at 7w heart rate 145. EDD 10/15/2015

Lots of news for all of you ladies! I can barely keep up!
AFM, I’m sorry I missed last week’s check in. I was taking a mental break from IVF. Not sure how I did that, but I somehow managed not to think about it between a busy week and travel for a wedding over the weekend.
I don’t think I’ve updated since my second opinion appt, which went well. New RE (Spoiler: we switched clinics) is recommending us for a clinical trial they are doing with embryo imaging. This would be good for us because embryo growth is our issue and we might learn something useful, even if we have a failed cycle. This will be #4, so at this point I feel like negative results are just what I’m used to! Bring it on if we can learn something!
The same week I ended up also going to see my PCP and getting prescribed anti-depressants. This was really a step I was hoping not to have to take, but I was having some really low moments after our disaster of a WTF appointment with old RE and needed some help. I’ve never been on them before (I seriously don’t know how I have made it this long in this much crappy trauma), so I am just going to see how it goes.
We are sticking to our plan of taking a break, heading to Jamaica for New Years, etc. We have to get all of our testing re-done, so we are chipping away at that. DH also went to the urologist and is having some additional testing. In the midst of all this, I got a yeast infection, and, WAY worse, DH had a mole removed that proved to be a melanoma and now we are heading to the surgeon to make sure he removes all of it. Talk about adding insult to injury! We are still waiting for our “break” that we haven’t been able to catch the past couple of years. I hope 2015 is our year!

@zeynsom congrats on your NK cell count! I know you needed that boost right now.
AFM: I am beside myself right now. Just got the call from my nurse that 5 out of my 6 embryos made it to blast today and were biopsied for PGS. OMG. I can not believe it. I was hoping- best case scenario - for 2 or 3. I feel like I really have a shot now to have at least one come back normal. FX please! I was told to expect results the week after Christmas.
QOTD: I used to be a Bravo whore myself, but lately I've been on a Netflix tear with House of Cards and now Breaking Bad. DH and I have been on a BB marathon. I haven't gotten enough sleep lately staying up to watch "just one more" episode. Lol.

Not much going on here, just waiting for AF to show up. I'm trying to make changes this cycle, started acupuncture and already cut out coffee and alcohol. I'm also trying to exercise every night or every other night, I can't believe that I'm 15 pounds heavier than prior to starting fertility treatments. Eating healthy and making good choices are not the easiest thing to do during the holiday season!
@CML11 ugh. 15lbs. I'm there with you. It's no fun to gain weight from the meds. I feel your pain.
