Progesterone challenge after ectopic

Has anyone had to take progesterone after an ectopic surgery? I lost a tube after mine ruptured and after 6 weeks + past surgery still hadn't seen AF so they put me on progesterone for 2 weeks to jump start it again. Just wondering if anyone else has done this?!!

    It is just 200 MG capsules of Progesterone.

    I am on day 6 and everything is going fine, (have had some spotting since day 3 but I guess that is fine according to my doc) just wanted to see if anyone else has had to do this! Once you stop, AF should start in 5 days, so hoping it does!!
