@ladyamanuet, that's a great idea! It would also be a cute idea to save Christmas cards each year... the ones that you send out any way, not the ones that you get from family and friends
i finished the blanket for my BFF's baby (and even made a matching hat and booties with the scrap) the week before thanksgiving and sent it to her. i have a pic somewhere that i should put on photobucket so i can share here. now i'm chugging slowly along with beanie's blanket. i have one big pink/purple/white square made and most of a white square. one more of each and then sew them up for an oversized grannie blanket. plus i've started the spiral blanket. i should take pix of those too.

After months and months I finally got back on my pottery wheel! I'm going to try and make enough yarn bowls, platters, bowls, etc to get a table at our next craft sale in town. It was surprisingly comfortable being 36 weeks preggo! Lots of belly room
I'm crafting vicariously through my mom again - she made us four of these Christmas stockings and also this scarf for me to give my SIL.
The stockings are very special because the plaid fabric is from a shirt that belonged to my late grandfather. I don't want to seem ungrateful, but I kind of thought my mom would also put our names and a picture on each stocking (snowflake for me, train for DS, etc.). I am not a great seamstress or embroiderer, and I don't want to mess them up, so I guess they'll be plain for this year.
If anyone has ideas of maybe an iron-on or other easy thing that would still look great for names and pictures, I would welcome your advice!
@ACH831 I love them! And I love how there's a slightly darker outline around them... that's how I color too... I just think it makes everything look crisper but it's so simple!

I made a shirt and matching onsie for my husband for Christmas. He saw this online and said he really wanted it, but I couldn't find it anywhere so I decided to make it
Just made this little book from all of baby girl's shower cards. Call me a pack rat but I can't stand throwing cards away. They're just really sentimental to me. Lol.

@Maebb, I love them both! I think the stockings look OK plain for now. I would maybe ask if she could put an inital and picture on for next year.
