This is a weekly thread posted on Mondays for those of us who have health and fitness goals we would like to keep during our pregnancies. If you are new, please jump right in and join in the weekly discussion! WE ARE ALMOST THERE!!!!!!!!
1) How far along are you?
2) How did you do this past week? If you didn't reach your goals, what will you do to get back on track?
3) Any goals for this week?
GTKY: Have you thought about what your first post-birth meal will be? I was in the hospital and in labor for quite a while and remember feeling STARVED by the time I was able to eat something. My meal was a very unenthusiastic grilled cheese sandwich. I vow to do better this time!!

2) How did you do this past week? If you didn't reach your goals, what will you do to get back on track? I took a few extra days off because sleep wasn't happening and my workouts are either at 5am or not at all. I've been able to save my energy for Body Pump at the gym which has been awesome and I am so thankful for the muscle definition that I have gained throughout this pregnancy because of that class. It will definitely make the bounce back easier!
3) Any goals for this week? Sign up for some early 2015 races!! A 10k in March and a half marathon in May are so far on my schedule.

1. How Far Along: 35w 2d
2.How did I do this week: Lots of walking and 1 day of Yoga. My workout to nap ratio is not looking too good!
3. Goals: Get at least 5 miles of walking in this week. Do my yoga every night this week!! A day of weights would be great as well. I love that you are already looking for races!! We have been too! Will probably start with an indoor tri in April!
GTKY: The hospital has a Robeks around the corner, I guarantee you I will be begging for a delicious smoothie! Possible that request will come while in labor lol... Midwife already approved
Beyond that, my hub is going to cook up venison tenderloins and I cannot wait. The meat needs to be cooked medium rare, so I have held off! I also just received a bottle of my favorite homemade pineapple wine... I can't wait
2) How did you do this past week? If you didn't reach your goals, what will you do to get back on track? I had no goals set because I had no clue I was going to start back up today. But I feel 100% fine, so I decided to try a run. Did a 5k - it took a very long (for me) 45 minutes. I think more of that had to do with my joints and muscles doing nearly zero moving on bedrest for about 13 weeks. My knees felt a bit off, as did my hips. So I took it slow. But I made it!
3) Any goals for this week? I don't want to set anything crazy, I don't know how I'm going to feel. But I want to up it to at least 2 runs. Life is a little hectic with Christmas and newborn, but I know I can do 2. Probably 2 5k's to start. Also working on better nutrition this week- I really need to stay out of the cookies. Sometimes I'm still eating like I'm pregnant or something. I have about 20 pounds to go to lose now.. (I gained 50, so 30 down in 4 weeks isn't too shabby?). No rush. But I don't need to eat like crap, either.
GTKY: Have you thought about what your first post-birth meal will be? Mine was sushi!! The hospital served none
@YaMrWhite I will have to ask my co-worker who makes it!! It is amazing! A dessert wine for sure! He also makes a tomato that I love... it tastes nothing like tomato but is crisp and refreshing! He recently gave us a green apple Riesling that I may have to make into a spritzer and have a few sips of at Christmas!
2) How did you do this past week? If you didn't reach your goals, what will you do to get back on track? Stretching and strengthening each evening and walking when I can. I managed to walk 3 miles the other day and felt pretty good about it!
3) Any goals for this week? Be cool until baby gets here. Move as much as possible and rest when I need it.
1) How far along are you? 37+
2) How did you do this past week? If you didn't reach your goals, what will you do to get back on track?
I didn't get to the gym as often as I wanted, but I've been short of breath out of the blue and have had several episodes with lightheadedness so I took it easy.
3) Any goals for this week?
Eat healthy, keep baby in til Jan 5th when my favorite OB comes back from vacation. (Not to suggest I am expecting the baby to come before then for any particular reason)
GTKY: Have you thought about what your first post-birth meal will be?
I was induced with C and NPO except ice chips for 24 hours. I had her in the morning so I went for raisin bran for the fiber content since my SIL had scared me with her PP poop pain. Lol. I guess it will depend on what time I have the baby!

2) How did you do this past week? If you didn't reach your goals, what will you do to get back on track?
Got in a little bit of yoga in the middle of the night when I was waking up miserable from hip pain. Didn't get any walks in due to working wayyy too much and being too tired after. Literally fell asleep on the couch every evening.
3) Any goals for this week?
Keep up doing the Yoga. Try and get 2-3 walks in around the neighborhood.
GTKY: Have you thought about what your first post-birth meal will be?
Seriously have not thought about this at all. I haven't really had any food restrictions throughout this pregnancy as all the no-no foods are ones I don't like anyways. I just want all the wine. I've been hoarding a bottle of my favorite mead since my baby shower that I'm sooooo looking forward too. OOooo I do have homemade chicken pot pie in the freezer. That is for sure being cooked on our first night home. YUM.
