Yesterday, we went to our weekly gaming night. I hadn't told most of the people there yet - it just hadn't come up, and I felt like announcing it to them would be AWish. I was kind of planning on telling them that day, since I was 14 weeks and am looking extra fluffy. Couldn't figure out a good way to say it, though. The host outed me, thankfully - I had a nasty headache and was getting nauseous due to hunger, and he asked if my obvious discomfort was just a pregnancy thing (basically).
Point of my random: I was having a "I WILL NEVER BE RESTED" day. They made some sort of comment about "You're having another?" I responded less than enthusiastically. And now I'm all worried that they think this was an "oops" baby - it's not, I was just having a sucky pregnancy day. Stupid thing to worry about.
Wondering how much baby can actually hear at 16 weeks. DH and I are huge football fans and have been yelling/celebrating quite a lot these last two days. DH isn't worried and hopes his cheering leads to baby "picking" his team to be their own, but I worry we're freaking out LO with the "where's the flag" and "run Lacy run" yells...
H and I stayed with my Mema this weekend so we could attend her 90th birthday party. I love her to pieces, but when you leave her house, every single thing your brought with you smells like fried eggs and bacon. On the way home now to wash all the clothes we brought (whether we wore them or not) and air out my purse and pillow outside...

It'd take everything I had not to eat the shirt I was wearing... Mmmmm Bacon....
We received the best gift basket in the Mail Friday. It was filled with Vosges chocolate bacon themed items. Milk chocolate bacon bar, dark chocolate bacon bars and a chocolate chip and bacon pancake mix. I already finished 1/2 the basket....
I'm dying for sushi. Like seriously, it's the worst craving! I know that there are reputable places that don't cross contaminate their knives and stuff with cooked roll options BUT I'm both pregnant and immunocompromised from a prior autoimmune disease. I don't think it's worth the risk...
Oh, but I want some so bad!!!!! I'm literally craving sushi more than cigarettes (I quit smoking right before getting pregnant).
I set out to wrap the Christmas presents today. I didn't get very far before realizing we were low on bows and didn't have any tags left. We do our weekly grocery shopping on Sundays anyway, and there's a dollar store right next door, so we went there first. Like the rest of the world. They had plenty of bows, but no tags, so I said fuck it, and decided to just cut rectangles out of paper.
Then I learned that the very pretty shiny wrapping paper that DH got...tape doesn't want to stick to it. I guess if I'd just been wrapping boxes it would have been easier, but somehow this year, exactly ZERO of my presents were in nice square boxes. All of them were oddly-shaped.
Long story short, it looks like a one-armed gorilla wrapped everything, but it's done and I'm beyond the point of caring. I figure everyone knows I'm pregnant and no one really cares about what the wrapping looks like anyway. (And the one aunt who *might* care, her gift-wrapping actually turned out the nicest. Good enough.)

Chocolate bacon!?!?!? Hmmm I better try that. Very weird though!
I planned to give baskets of homemade goodies to my in-laws this year, since DH told me not to spend so much money on them as I usually do. Since Christmas is five days away, I have done no planning, shopping, or cooking for them, and I have a nasty cold, it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I'm at a loss for what to do instead. I'm mainly hoping that I'm not still sick on Christmas!
I keep getting headaches every Sunday and Monday Tuesday I hit a new week in pregnancy and then I start feeling better Wednesday I feel like a whole new person until Sunday it starts all over again.
I'm really annoying that DH starts one project before finishing another. I feel like I'm living in a construction zone. I'm worried the nursery will be half-assed. Felt good to complain about it because he thinks I'm ungrateful if I say that.
Ugh my husband is doing the construction thing too @Nikelizabeth. Except tonight he decided he was going to finish our bathroom... Decided to use a solvent (mineral spirits) without telling me (so I could leave) or opening any windows. I walked back there and got a big whiff of fumes. Now I am sitting in the basement trying not to freak out about it. I am sure one time won't do damage but I'm like "why"????? It's been unfinished for months he couldn't wait for me to be at work?
I haven't been going to church much since I've been pregnant because I've been so sick. I finally am feeling better so I went today. My husband was hunting so it was just me and during worship(where we stand and sing) I got so short of breathe and my whole body started feeling strange. I sat down and after awhile felt a ljttle better. Tonight hubby and I made gingerbread men with our son and after awhile I got the same shortness of breath and body discomfort. Anyone ever have this? Never did with first pregnancy but it kind of freaked me out

Alcohol is my go to for being unprepared. Especially this time of year because they have nice little gift sets if you know what they like to drink.

::sigh::
@jjbdvm that was my #1 craving with my first. I would have any cooked sushi roll to satisfy the craving. Shrimp tempera roll, California roll, eel roll etc. Maybe it's your bodies way of telling you to eat more fish for the nutrition?
