This is a thread posted daily for any of us who need to get out our frustrations about waiting to O, the 2WW, or vent about our cycles.

If you find yourself checking FF obsessively, MF is getting the best of you, or you just want to pee on all things, let it out here! In order for the conductors to be better able to help you, please make sure you either have a FF chart link in your sig, or make sure you post a link.

Don't chart? You should consider it, not only will it give you a lot more insight to your cycles, but conductors will be able to answer a lot of your questions just by looking at your chart!

To learn more about charting, check out the charting course that FF offers:https://www.fertilityfriend.com/courses/

The CT is not the place to post a BFP. If you have a "squinter" or if you have a line that appeared after the time frame, please do not post about it here. Take a step back from the board, test again with FMU, and good luck!

Re: **** Weekend Crazy Train ****

  • Crazy level from 1-10: 1

    CD/DPO: 16 days past D&C

Can I just ______ already?!: have sex!
    @-)

Signs/Symptoms: getting back in the groove of BBT. I know my temps can be weird post d&c and I'm still spotting heavily/light flow. My temps have consistently been what they were normally post-o. Wondering if they will drop -> I will o -> then AF OR stay elevated -> have AF -> then o.

Explain your Crazy here: don't know why I'm so curious if I'm going to o before or after my first AF. I also hate waiting... I'm impatient. Not impatient to get pregnant again... I'm not ready for that, yet. But impatient for my body to act like it used to. I had such good cycles before getting KU. I really hope it returns that way.

Had my OB f/u yesterday and it went well. He told me I could get back to my normal lifestyle, no restrictions. He said to TTA 1-2 cycles but he said I don't need any type of BC. He knows I temp and and chart. He said to do things normally and if I "accidentally" get KU right away, he really doesn't see any problem. He said none of the research he's read indicates a higher risk of issues getting KU the first month after a situation like mine. He said avoiding was primarily for my mental health. I haven't seen a recommendation like that on this board except for CPs. But with an 8 week BO, still growing, requiring d&c? Interesting. I had bought condoms to use until I know I've O'd but now I really don't want to use them. I hate condoms.

Signs/symptoms: um my boobs hurt a bit?
Explain your crazy: i bought my thermometer yesterday. My SO thinks that everything except following my cycle is unnecessary. I temped this morning but I do know that I'm no where near my AF or O so it's just to create a habit right now. (I'm boring)

I did, not so much behind my SOs back, but against his...not better judgement? I guess. He does think that all of that is necessary. He thinks 2 weeks after AF is automatically go time and we should be good just tracking my cycle, but my thoughts are: he's gone 50% of the time. It might better our chances to do all of this. Though I'm still on the fence with the CM. I have no clue where to even start with that, and checking my cervix. Plus I'm no professional, I don't know how the heck to tell what my cervix is doing.

  • @mholmes92‌ getting in the habit of temping is a great first step. I had been temping for over a year when I got my second bfp and have started back at it even though we're still TTA post-D&C to help myself get back in the routine.

As far as your SO, if he questions the need again, I would explain to him that every women's body is different; there is no standard. The more info you have about what is going on with your body the better.

Are you using FF to temp/chart? It has alot of GREAT info and easy tutorials to follow including a part on CM, etc. I strongly recommend it.

  • @imnotfancy‌ sorry for your loss. I know what you mean about wanting your body to return to normal- your life has just been turned upsidown with terrible news, and it feels like your body is betraying you. I know it fucking sucks but try to take comfort in the fact that eventually everything will return to a kind of normal one way or another- but I hope you o or get a visit from AF sooner rather than later!!

I hope it stays that way. I've got more Christmas shopping to do I forgot some people so hopefully I don't keep looking at FF all day like I normally do.

So. Wait. I just watched a FF video, your BBT: what I'm thinking is that it's most helpful at letting you know when you are no longer in your fertile window and where or not you are pregnant? I'm so confused now!! I think I'm going to bump my crazy up to a 5...

    What does it all mean?!?

    Edit: your not you

    Okay, deep breaths.

Once you've temped for  few cycles you'll notice that your temps before you ovulate are lower. Mine are consistently somewhere in the 97.5, 97.6 range. When I ovulate my temp slowly rises to 97.7, 97.8 and sometimes 97.9 or higher. It helps you see where you are in your cycle because based on those temps FF will be able to establish an O date after you've had three high temps in a row otherwise called a sustained thermal shift.

Sometimes pregnancy can be suspected if your temp stays high toward the end of our cycle. For me personally, my temp starts to drop at 11dpo and by 13dpo it's usually back below my coverline which tells me that AF is about to visit. In my case, if I got to 15 or 16dpo and my temps were still high I'd be curious and test.

Having said that, temps are not really an indicator of pregnancy. Pretty looking charts don't always mean anything so as much as it's possible to suspect a pregnancy it's impossible to know until you test with a HPT at around 12 or 13 dpo.

    I hope that helps clarify.

The only other thing that I would add (and this is from Taking Charge of Your Fertility) is that if you hit 17dpo with sustained high temps then that is a good indication of pregnancy - but that is about the only time you can use a chart to "tell" if you are pregnant and it's not 100%.  Some people have random, long LPs and it's always possible that you O date may be off by a day or two.

Charting is used to confirm O. If you approach it from that mindset then once you get your CHs, you can relax. You have already done everything possible because your window of opportunity has closed for that cycle. Just sit back and wait for 12 or 13 dpo to test.

Bumping is definitely my hobby! That, and finding the next most yummy beerology drink! Just took a day off from Beerology and just stuck with hot cocoa w/rumchata and peppermint schnapps.

    I hope you drink...

    Otherwise, I can't help you. ;)

linkloveszelda26 - Hooray for CH! FX for you this month.

Crazy level from 1-10: 8 earlier today, but falling. In the 6-ish range now?

    CD/DPO: 26/11

Signs/Symptoms: Big temp drop and BFN this morning, no other symptoms to report

Explain your Crazy here: I'm 99% positive I'm out for this cycle and AF will be here tomorrow. Talked it over with MH, and with all the travel going on the next couple of weeks, I won't be able to temp/do OPKs reliably enough to chart and our timing will probably be shit, so we're NTNP in January. We're both pretty emotionally tapped out--my eternally optimistic and upbeat husband cried this morning, which was extremely distressing--so we may continue to be NTNP indefinitely. I'll be pretty scarce the next few weeks, but best of luck to all of you guys. Happy holidays!

So many ((hugs)). I'm so sorry about the BFN :( FX it's just too early.
