Hello everybody!
I am thrilled to be here! A little background about myself. I have had 2 losses so far. 1 mmc at 10 weeks and 1 2nd tri loss at 17 weeks due to pprom caused from bleeding. My maternal fetal specialist believes my second loss was the result of blood clots in the blood vessels communicating between my uterus and the baby's placenta. As a result, I am on aspirin and will begin lovenox once there is a confirmed heartbeat. I also have a mthfr mutation.
Today I am 6 weeks pregnant. I have a follow-up appointment next week to look for a heartbeat. I have my fingers crossed, but to be quite honest I am in a state of guarded anticipation. I am not really allowing myself to be overly happy nor overly worried. I am doing my best to live in this moment and not put pressure on myself regarding any moments to come. I remind myself daily that "today, I am pregnant". I don't know what tomorrow holds, so I won't even think about tomorrow until it gets here.
My maternal fetal specialist said at my pre-conception appointment his goal for my next pregnancy is 28 weeks and anything after that is gravy. I pray I reach 28 weeks. In my last pregnancy I had spotting on and off from week 7-17. If I hit week 7 and I don't have spotting that will be one step closer to excitement. If I reach 18 weeks, look out world I will be crazy excited.
I'm happy to be joining this board, a place where people are working through similar feelings and comments come from a similar place. Looking forward to a happy and healthy 9 months with all of you!

Testing done: male with complete Trisomy 16, not hereditary. Tested me for clotting disorders, all normal.
Feb. 2014 all clear again to TTC! Will start progesterone supplementation with the next BFP just in case. Oct. 2014 more testing just because, thyroid and autoimmune panels = normal. Diagnostic U/S = no abnormalities. Will keep trying for 3-6 more months, doctor still optimistic!
