ds thinks my belly button is a microphone

Ds, 3.5, likes to talk to the baby even though I'm only 14 weeks so it cant really hear yet. I think it's cute so I don't discourage it. He seems to think that my belly button is the way to do it though which tickles. Any other stms have cute stories about how your older child is connecting to the baby?

Re: ds thinks my belly button is a microphone

  • Heee hee. I love it! What is he saying??

DS likes to give his little brother raspberries. Who am I kidding, any excuse to give anyone a raspberry is good in his opinion. ;)

  • Mostly just hi baby. I can't always understand him because he pushes down when he does it so it's muffled

  • Love it! Super cute
  • Awwww that's so cute.
  • My 2 year old knocks on my belly to say hello to his baby brother. Love the microphone and raspberry tricks.
  • I do have a cute DS/microphone story.  He likes to pretend they are either a cellphone or an ice cream cone.

  • Love it! My 10 year old always asks when I'm eating something if the baby loves it. Most the time I answer "we shall see in an hour". She is always looking on Internet to see what s/he would look like now and how big. So cute!
  • My daughter is too young to understand that #2 is on the way. She's been saying mamamama for awhile but today she looked up at me and said mama...I almost cried it was so sweet!

  • Totally unprompted my 4.5 year old just said "Hi baby, I can't wait to meet you" :)
  • I have a four DS.  We were a  little nervous about how he would react but he is totally excited.  He talks about the baby getting bigger and he "cuddles" my belly all the time.  He talks to the baby as well and always ask where it is.
