can anyone recommend cold meds that are safe to take while breastfeeding? I know I have to worry about antihistamines because they can affect your supply. But are there any others I should be worried about? If you breastfeed and had a cold what did you take? Or what remedies did you try? Thanks!

NP! That's what I had in Oct and I used the neti pot twice a day to clear it out. I checked that page in case I needed something more. I'm glad regular Claritin is good, that's my go to when I get really bad.
When I called our pediatrician two days ago about the flu scare, the responding nurse recommended Zicam at the first sign of a cold. I haven't checked it out personally but she knew I was BFing so hopefully she wouldn't recommend it if it had any negative impact. FWIW I've been taking Benadryl daily and haven't had a noticeable drop in supply. Good luck and feel better soon!
Re: Cold meds while breastfeeding?
I used a netti pot but it wasn't a full blow cold, thank goodness!
