This is funny. In case Purrf was talking about me with the working out thing, I wanted to share my funny running story from this weekend. The first half of my 14 mile run felt so great, that I decided to add on 2 miles to make it 16...
On the way home, I ran out of water, and basically felt like I was going to die. The stop where I planned to get a water bottle from (vending machines on the trail) only took singles, and i only had two fives so I had to go three more miles until I got to a 7-11 to get more water.
Anyhow, I couldn't believe HOW exhausted I was, and how hard my relatively flat run for the first 8 miles was feeling on the way home...
Oh yeah, because it was DOWNHILL THE ENTIRE WAY...and obviously, uphill on the way home. I took a shortcut home, and shortened it to 15 miles. The blue dips are where I stopped to cross a street, or walk; the gray is elevation.
HAHAHAHA.
Re: I am so self-conscious...
Seriously, you rock - I could NOT do any of that!
And you make me LOL with your elevation gadgetry.what fancy monitor type thing did this come from???? That must be motivating...i mean to see exactly how you did...then you could compare that one with your next one....pretty cool.
And I don't think the purff thing was about you....the proof is in the pudding....you look fabulous. I'm not sure who purff was talking about.
Ditto!

yes, clearly you have now made up this story to make us believe you work out. No one is buying it!!! J/K!
I'm trying to get back to running and my pp body isn't having it. It is really hard for me. I've also been doing 30DS. The weight isn't coming off. I'm doing your "if you bite it you write it" plan now!
DandR: It's a GPS/Satellite watch called a Garmin ForeRunner. It keeps track of my pace/time/laps/etc., and then I upload it to my computer to compare.
I mostly like it to work on pace, which has gotten exponentially faster since I started running with that as a prop.
DH is in the satellite business (on the gov't side) so he gets all into this geeky stuff...and by default, I do too!
Not that you were running in the dark or anything...but I always envision you running with the spotlight on your head now!
Thanks ladies.
Purrrf, I'll virtually kick your @ss after you have that baby!!
